So sorry to hear about your bout of kidney stones, too, Mike. I've never been so afflicted, but my dad has. I'm told it's a pain akin to childbirth.

This is turning out to be quite an awful trip for them.
And you thought tipping your trailer was having a bad trip! This has been the Southern ER Tour from Hell. He had surgery to remove the kidney stone last Thursday in Mobile, we had gone to a hospital in Pensacola first but couldn't get insurance approval quickly enough. He wasn't able to have lithotripsy because he takes blood thinners so it was the surgical route instead. We thought that would be the end of it and we went on to Houston and had a great time at Flamingo Babe and Hot Glue's Gathering. Spent an extra day in Houston to avoid a bad storm and headed out Monday. The patient was not feeling great but we kept going. On Tuesday we hit big wind, cold and rain and he was feeling pretty bad. There was no way we would try to go to Albuquerque in that weather so we stopped in Santa Rosa. We checked him in to the hospital and he has been diagnosed with a MRSA infection. Likely from the stent that he had.

He he is starting to feel better and the doctor said she wouldn't talk about discharging him until Saturday. We have friends from Las Vegas who are ready to come pick him and his bike up when he is released.

Thank you you all got your prayers and well wishes.

    Ann,
Will he finally admit that he just can't keep up with you?
Seriously: I hope that he continues to improve, and is able to get home soon!

    Default Thinking of you

Thanks so much for the update SpyderAnn01, So glad Joe is receiving the care that he needs.
Unfortunate that insurance approval for a life and death matter is an issue in the age of computers.

Needed to look up MRSA infection. Dang Joe, rent a cage to get back home. Health is paramount. Thinking of you both.

    For those that have not met or don't know what Joe looks like here is a photo of the top of his head(bottom right);

So glad to here about Flamingo Babe and Hot Glue's Gathering. She isn't on here much any more, but know you had a wonderful time.

Any pictures to share? (Asking this to help keep your mind off of hospital boredom) And put a smile on your faces!

Speedy recovery, but not before Saturday, xoxo Joe and Ann

Situations like this can become a life altering event. With Ann's help, take care of yourself Joe and get well soon. I'd enjoy crossing paths with you again sometime in the future.

Yeah, I'm not complaining about my trailer any more!

From what I understand, MRSA can kill ya, and I'm glad he is getting treatment. I hope he'll be a good patient and follow doctor's orders. I'm glad you'll have help getting him and his bike home.

Any word from Robin? Did she get to Flagstaff or home yet?

The doctor did use the word "deadly" when he told us about MRSA. Robin had a chilly ride to Flagstaff and Tommy met her there. She should be getting close to home by now.
