The Nam chopper jocks had ice water in their veins. They pulled off some stunts that were beyond crazy, and while under fire. I wonder if that pilot's call sign is "Cool Hand Luke." It would fit. That "landing" took some big brass ones to pull off. Pretty amazing.

The Apache is 227 mph. I was lucky enough to have ridden in one; but, not at that speed.

AH-64D Apache
The AH-64 Apache, considered as one of the most advanced multi-mission combat helicopters, is also one of the fastest military helicopters in the world. It can attain a maximum speed of 284km/h in hot day conditions.
That is 176.46 MPH
Here is one of many places that gives that info. https://www.airforce-technology.com/features/featurethe-worlds-fastest-military-helicopters-4171605/
When my Brother in law, who is retired army hydraulic Pneumatic specialist for helicopters told me that the Chinook was the fastest US military helicopter, I thought he was lying, after much research, I found out he knew his stuff.
