Anyone installed the OEM auxiliary light on the front?
Has anyone installed the OEM Auxiliary Light on the front? Is it bright and add enough to the overall night viewing experience to make it worth it?
I have seen some aftermarket lights also for much cheaper, like the EvolutionR Series plug n play LED aux Running Light Bar from slingmods.com. Anyone installed this one, is it worth it?
Anyone installed any other manufacturers lights that are good?
I only want to install one if it adds to the actual night lighting experience; I don’t want it just for looks.
Thanks

Reason: Expanded title to briefly ask the question... ;-)

Un-fortunately, considering the cost they won't give you what you want ...... Go look at what DENALI has, yep, they are expensive but are well worth the money .... They also have very good sales prices .... just get on their mailing (e-mail) list .... last year I bought a (now) $400.00 LED set for $100 ..... Good Luck ....
Ps: their Videos are quite accurate in what you can expect to see .... Mike

You REALLY need to tell us what Spyder model and year you're talking about - ideally, by adding your Spyder's model and year info to your sig line as per the Sticky at the top of the section (you REALLY should also read the rest of the Stickies, they have a LOT of info that will help you get the best from the Forum! )
Off the top if my head, I think it's post #4 that gives you step-by-step instructions, but I'm sure you'll work it out if you read the Sticky!
Mind you, there's almost certainly a LOT of earlier discussion on these lights that may well answer all or at least some of your questions about them, if you make the effort to do a search and a little reading (orright, maybe a lot of reading!? )
& it was a good trip to his shop for installing. I Did DIY the Fogs & Tricled Ringz (Ringz required the Fogs to mount) all tapped into the Running lights (keyed power). One side effect of the light from the bump skid is that it shines through the rims & peripheral vision means you can see movement on the curbs, sometimes falsely thinking some vehicle is coming up beside you.

I've got one on my RTL. I can't say that it adds much to the viewing down the road situation. But it adds a bunch to the be seen aspect of it. I added mine just for the looks and safety.

Peter Pan has struck again!
I installed the one from slingmods. It's plug and play and turns on when you turn the bike on. No extra switch to wire and have to remember to turn off like with the more expensive one. For me it emits enough light but to each their own.
