Throttle position when shifting
I have a 2019 spyder rt limited. When shifting I have been treating it like a centrifugal clutch.
Roll throttle off, shift, resume throttle when up shifting. Is this correct.

You don't have to, roll, hold, and shift when you reach right rpm! Easy pezzy!!!

Do you have the semi automatic?

No more roll on/ roll off. Just keep the throttle in the open position when you hit the shifter button. If you are in the right rpm range, you will barely feel the shift. 1330's like 3500 - 4000 for starters. You will find your sweet spot. I mostly let the transmission downshift on its own, unless I need more power NOW.
Currently Owned: 2019 F3 Limited, 2020 F3 Limited: SOLD BOTH LIMITEDS in October of 2023.
Previously : 2008 GS-SM5 (silver), 2009 RS-SE5 (red), 2010 RT-S Premier Editon #474 (black) 2011 RT A&C SE5 (magnesium) 2014 RTS-SE6 (yellow)

Thank you. I will give it a try on my next ride. Salesman did not have recommendation for me so I was rolling throttle off to shift.

Hold throttle steady and shift. The computer will do the rest.

Some may not agree with me, but I truly believe it is nigh impossible to equal the smooth shift sequence the computer will perform for you, when you do it manually. Keep everything steady and just hit the button. Let the computer do all the rest.

Just keep it steady don't rev it don't back it off, just hit the button when you reach the rpm you want to shift at.
