Anyone make their Spyder sound like a Ducati?
I have always loved the sound of a Ducati, especially when it un-loads. Is there something special about them that makes the roar, or is it more exhaust pipes?
Just wondering.

The sound I long for is my former triple, a Yamaha 750. In it's first road test Cycle World described the sound as a "Whiskey Tenor". With the right muffler the Spyder might sound close, being a 3 cylinder and all. That 90° twin sound would be tougher.

Number of cylinders, valve and ignition timing and exhaust system are what influence that sound. ButterSmooth is the sound my F3L makes with the RLS cat delete, with resonator, and leaving the stock muffler on. It's a smooth, throaty purr that's easy on the ears when on an all day ride.
Ours is a red, black and chrome 2017 F3 Limited. Bought new in 2/2019. The avatar is my first bike back in 1952, a Simplex Servi-Cycle. Photo taken at the Barber Museum.

That's pure evil. And here I thought I was happy. The cat delete did that?

I never order anything like that without talking to the maker. Ricky told me how my bike would sound with that arrangement and he was spot on. I just ordered a Bajaron sway bar over the phone after talking with them. I am presently having a custom windshield made by 7Jurock to my specs and they are charging me no more than a stock item. It pays to call.

Speaking of 7Jurock, I recently got one of their 16'' windshields for my F3T and its works perfectly. I can see over it easily and nice and clear when looking down. Shoots the wind up over my head so i can ride with faceshield up most of the time. I tried a 14'' first but it was too short for me in case anyone want to give it a try...for a reasonable price of course. lol

My pesent 7Jurock is also a 16" but with a flip. The custom they are making is 18" and 9" wider than stock. I will still be able to utilize the OEM brackets by using 1/4" spacers. Photos when I get it and am installing it. That will be my winter w/s and the 16" is for summer. I will still be able to see over the 18" one.
