Did you check on what BajaRon or Lamonster could do for you??

If you can use them, the EBC pads are generally better than the OEM offereings, and even if you need to swap the rotors too (if there's some EBC Rotors that'll fit?!?) you generally end up with better brakes for less $$, at least in the long term!

DIY ain’t bad if you can comfortably work on ground sitting position. Lil tricky first round, caution almost hidden lock clip on bolt/pin (on all 3 calipers). If not removed first & you just start removing bolts, it can/will bend & let the bolt spin indefinitely.

Baja Ron gets you the parts fast The retraction tool is quite handy & recommended for making it easy.

on getting to know your spyder

    **note DOT4 fluid only**
    Spyder Rear Caliper :
    instructions from BajaRon
    "Rear pad install
The rear caliper also serves as the parking brake, so the rear piston needs to be retracted (as do the fronts, only they just need a C-clamp). You will see 2 holes in the top of this piston for inserting a tool. The rear piston must be turned CLOCKWISE to retract the parking brake system. It is best to clean the rubber piston boot before this step. It may take a good deal of force to start the piston turning, but should get easier once the piston begins to turn. Turn the piston until it bottoms out.”

Thanks all for the reply's. I was looking at getting new pads for when I need to replace them. Guess Can-Am wants to make sure I know I'm not riding my Honda or Yamaha anymore.

EBC Semi Sintered Front 36.99 each wheel, or Double H 41.99 per wheel. Rear Double H 37.99 or Semi Sintered 27.99. Now to figure which of these two styles is best. Semi Sintered $101.97 all wheels vs $121.97 for Double H, unless Can-Ams pads are far superior Not Paying $200.00.

Do the EBC, they are light years beyond the OE pads and rotors.... As for Semi vs Double H, the Semi's will wear a lot faster than the H's as they are a softer compound.... You may have more initial bite and less pedal effort under light braking, but not worth the trade off of less life and less braking power under heavier use or higher pressure application (panic stop).... I use the H's all day every day and have on every bike I've owned! And even raced with.... :-)
