Yesterday I bought a VT TMA for the sled season( I hope we get a sled season, The future weather forecast doesn't look good). The sled is on a battery maintainer.

70* Thursday. Good day to head to Illinois to pick up my new little toy
2022 RT Sea To Sky
--------------------------------
This morning I installed some black panel protection from "Wrap My Spyder". I used their Textured Carbon Fibre application. Peter's excellent installation videos really helped a lot. Some areas are a little tricky and I also had to trim a pattern in the Switch Panel kit for the Sea to Sky badge.
I think it turned-out pretty good. No more scratchy black panels.
On the to do list, recharge the trunk gas spring, and make chassis adjustments to optimize the front suspension roll center. Gas Spring is easy, Roll center change will take some test riding along with having to get out the ROLO Laser Alignment tools and dial in the wheel alignment since changes to the front suspension will alter wheel alignment.
The last big change, relocating the ambient temp and pressure sensor along with intake air heat reduction is proving to be one of the best changes made to our Spyder.
Recently while on a night out dinner date, one Sena battery went dead. So while at dinner, I utilized the previously installed, for this exact reason, the Providence Spyder Accessories very cool, high quality switched USB charge port. Came out from dinner and had two Sena 20 setups charged.

As I have stated before; finding red dust is a sign of a possible bad sprocket. Not finding any IS NOT necessarily a sign of a good sprocket. Mine failed the inspection and had zero red dust. I know this has drawn out a long time with BRP but do not assume because you have no red dust that all is well. Might not be the case.

First ride since getting my Spyder back from warranty repair. Last week the avg temperature was in the 70s. This week is in the 40s, but I've been without the bike for 3 months and just can't wait for warmer weather.
I installed A Givi Trunk. Turns out my Spyder had, I guess the factory accessory removable back rest and also a luggage rack. I mounted the Givi Bracket on to the luggage rack/plate, following the Video put out by "Ask DIY Dad" back when he had a 2013. I could not figure out at first what the Plastic tail piece was for. But I guess that was the factory rear piece, that was removed to install the locking mechanism for the the accessories

Last week I installed the short reach bars that I bought from one our forum members.
Over the weekend we had a snowfall of just over 15” which has disappeared this morning.
Today I went for a ride on our local country roads including the Niagara Parkway.
The bars have made a major difference for me in seating position as it moved me further back in the saddle.
I can now use the backrest and my knees are now in a better position.
Just for reference, I’m 5’-6” about 150#
Very satisfied. Cheers all and an early Happy Thanksgiving

Not actually today but did finish repairing the parking brake mechanism on Saturday after I botched the job of putting things back together properly on the last tire change a few weeks ago. I had failed to get the base plate of the brake caliper properly seated over the pin in the frame and the first time I hit the brakes, it flipped around and destroyed the cable and pulley as well knackered up the micro switch. I managed to unfold the little metal arm on the switch without breaking it but had to purchase new cable and pulley. The process required removal of most of the right-side body panels and some very tight working conditions to reach everything. Took a few hours, but I gotterdone! Also installed new rear brake pads while I had it all apart again.
I installed a Lamonster Garage replacement brake rod on my 2022 F3L Special Series. The original is ridiculous and unsafe. I almost ran the first stop light I came to on my way home from the dealers with it. What a difference Lamont's made. Easy 10 minute install.
