What the heck is this thing? 2017 RT
My buddy found this in his driveway after horsing around on his 2017 RT. Looks like some sort of dust cover to me...but heck I don't know. It's hollow, has a pin hole in the top of it, is about 1.5" around. Thoughts?

Is it the inner cover for the front wheel bearing assembly?

Kind of looks like the air filter cover/cap, but not sure. Owners manual shows you what panels on the left side to remove in order to get to the filter. If is is the cap, might as well pull the filter, inspect the filter housing, clean if necessary, and replace the filter. I replaced my stock filter with a K&N filter. Better performance, and it never needs changing, just a cleaning and re-oiling. Very easy job, about an hour.

I'm thinking it's the cover of the flux capacitor, and its job is to make sure that it's, um, "fluxing" ....

But seriously folks, please don't wash a Spyder with a pressure washer. There are just so many mechanical and electrical parts in there waiting to accumulate a drop of water and cost their rider a lot of money.

With this I agree. You can pressure wash parts of the Spyder safely. But overall, it's a risk. Possibly an expensive risk.

Crap. I was sure it was the cap for the headlight fluid reservoir.
