A Reda can fits in the right side compartment. I bought mine at a Harley dealer about $25.00

Home Depot, Where they keep the chain saws, 1.25 GAL [I fill it with 1.5 gal] tank with the safety spout.
I've been using that tank for years, [4] no fumes no leaks. even when i inadvertently left it on it's side for 180 miles.
About ten bucks. Oh, and it's not about the price, 1.5 gal in my opinion is better than .9 gal.
I did have to use it twice over the years.

I have made the trip from Kentucky to California on Hwy 50. In Nevada there is a stretch where the gas stations are 75 miles apart. If you miss one you will certainly be interested in the next one. But you can make it without a jerri can. I have never been a fan of carrying gas in anything other than the tank.

Non need to carry a gas can.
Ok guys, thanks. I thought that the distences between the gas stations were more that 100 miles for the most isolated ones.
In that case no need to carry a jerry can.

Yeah, and to be clear, that's the 1/2 cover. Not sure about the full; haven't seen how much bigger of a stuff sack that one is in so I couldn't say, but yeah the 1/2 cover fits in there no problem with the 2 reda cans.
