Change the air in your tires!
I convinced my wife's sister that the air in car tires gets old and must be changed every 15,000 miles. She actually went to the garage and insisted that the air in her tires be changed. The guy charged her $10.00 even.
I felt so guilty I had to pay her back.
No joke. For real.

Have you ever smelled old air coming out of a tire? It is bad. In the old days when people actually had some interest in the service condition of their cars we did have some customers that insisted on changing the air in their tires once a year. We did it to keep them happy. It surely doesn't hurt anything. We also didn't charge them anything. It did give us a good laugh, however.

My wife works part time in a local gift/antique store. In the late fall, deer hunters from Dallas, Houston, Austin, etc. come out west to their deer leases and they come into her store wearing camouflage everything - boots, hats, socks, watches, glasses, everything. I've been trying to convince her that they should sell camouflage air so the hunters can have camouflage air in their tires. Maybe even put a little into jars so you could show them that it was so well camouflaged that it was impossible to see it at all. Cotton

At my first real job I was told to go get a bucket of stream. I returned a few minutes later with a bucket of steam. I had filled a upside down bucket and put a lid on it. I guess I was the first to return with the steam and not just scratch my head.

I AM ashamed of myself--but not for this. I sm ashamed because I am $10.00 poorer. That would have been enough to buy maybe 80 or so miles of gas for my Spyder.

Might as well tell her the floor mat linkage and muffler bearings need checked every year too

I always get a kick out of it when the shops ask if I want nitrogen in my tires... I always tell them to fill'em up with the 80% nitrogen... 8-)

I always get a kick out of sending the new mechanics back to the supply room for a can of K9P spray. (Dog pee).

Try nitrogen!

The wiper blade on the drivers side of my truck wore out, so i had to get new blades. My wife was watching me as i was putting the new ones on, And asked how come only one wore out? I said because i usually drive the truck alone so i use that side more....

2010 RTS-SE, Orbital Blue
Several years ago, when I had semis, a Dot officer pulled me over for a safety inspection. After showing him my license log book etc., he asked me what I had in the trailer. I told him I had a load of sailboat fuel. From the expression on his face, I don't think he saw the humor in the answer.
