I want to install heated grips. Any suggestions on what brand to use or not use?

:agree:

I have the same heating element. Inexpensive, two settings (low & high), and they work great.

ataDude,

I checked out your picture and have a question. The control assy. on the right side handle bar, is there a locater pin (or something) that prevents movement to far right or left. Or, can you place it where you want and just lock it in with the torx screws?

:gaah::gaah: Man for $28,000.00 you can get a 2010 GT-S :spyder2: and they throw in the heated grips.

After I mistakenly ground the locator pins off of the plastic housing, I placed a stainless, self-tapping screw into the handlebars (hidden "inside" the assembly) to prevent movement. You definitely want a positive stop or the entire assembly could slide off during aggressive left cornering. Don't depend on the Torx mounting screws to prevent that movement!
