My dad has an 08 yellow spyder with the semi auto tranny and it has a weird vibration at about 3/4 rpm in all gears and even at idle has anyone else had this problem? it is not common is it? I felt the vibration the first time I rode it and it only has like 1100 miles on it with no modifications yet. and it also has a tinny noise coming fron the exhaust is that normal. I just found this sight yesterday it looks like theres a lot of knowledge here any help is greatly apreciated.

Thats where my dads vibrates between 5000 and 5500rpm but not any other rpm. I have been riding v twin bikes for over 10 years and this is a different vibration. have u had your bike checked out ? I am gonna get my dads checked out but the dealers an hour away.

Vibrations are gonna be tough to distinguish. The bike does have a rather tinny sound from what I thought was the exhaust. I put on a Hindle and it still has a little of that...it's just the bike.

As far as vibrating, I have the SM5 and it vibrates as does a Harley or anything else out there...

I was initially told to change gears around the 5500 mark....but, I usually change sooner for a smoother transition...The bike certainly likes to be in the highest gear possible as the middle gears lack the comfort of 5th...I'll assume the SE5s are the same...until you get to 5th, you're gonna have vibrations!

I have a red SE5:2thumbs: semi auto with 1200 miles had vibration in foot pegs before having Ride On put in tires, also added Kuryakn ISO gripes with leaded chrome tip and filled handle bars with small lead fishing weights, no more vibrations, none of the noise you described ever

Where are you feeling the vibration at, through the peg and bars? Or is it an overall vibration. Feeling vibrations in pegs and bars is nothing unusual, especially at the higher rpm range.

it is more like an engine vibration between 5000 and 5500 rpm in all gears and even in neutral

I notice minor vibration up to 77 mph, after that it’s very smooth. :2thumbs:
