Exploded - Need a new Front End
Stop and go highway traffic.
Auto driver pulls along side and starts yelling at me from his passenger window.
Me in ATGATT can't hear because of helmet and ear plugs.
Turned my head to see the Auto driver as the Pickup in front of me hit the brakes.
One moment of distraction spelled disaster.
I ran into the trailer hitch of the pickup truck.
The front end of my ST exploded.
At least that's what it seemed like. No one injured. No damage to the truck.
Yellow tupperware bits went everywhere. Frunk and all front panels damaged.
My 2013 STS Spyder needs a new front end.
My insurance (Riders) will cover replacement cost and is being very helpful.
I just don't trust the local dealer to do the work in a timely and fair fashion.
I may do the wrenching myself.
Where can I get a fair deal on body panels and parts?

Your damage will be similar to the damage I had when I hit the dog. The front frame will be bent. Just replace, it is cheap enough. Item 20.
The rest of the parts will be on this exploded view. Just order what is damaged.
When I hit the dog it was on a monday nite. Called the dealer and ordered the parts on tuesday. Called the insurance on tuesday as well. Dropped off the Spyder on wednesday afternoon. The parts were already there. Thursday morning the the insurance adjuster approved proceeding with the repair. I picked it up, all fixed and shiny Thursday afternoon. Just before closing.

Hey Guys and Gals
Thanks for the responses.
I appreciate the support and advise from all. I'm going to order part #20 on speculation.
@ Billy thanks for the diagrams. Much better than my findings.
I'm going to take the weekend to tear down the Spyder and really investigate the damage.
Also have HoneyDo to complete while waiting for parts.
Cheers, David C.

New front end
All the parts arrived today.
4 boxes of tupperware and 1 box with the frunk and front frame.
The real work of reassembly starts Saturday AM.
I will post pictures as the project progresses.
Also order a set of LED headlight bulbs.
Wish me luck ...

Fingers Crossed.gif for you: hoping that the reassembly proceeds even better than you could hope for!

Thanks Everyone
The front frame and frunk are installed.
Front lid and nose piece are installed.
Aligning everything was tricky but in the end successful.
Sunday is side panel and mirror day.
TriLED front fender lights and turn signal flashers are wired and tested.
Cheers, David C.
