• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2008 GS Manual Upgrading to 2017 F3T Auto, Thoughts Please

One thing I noticed that was different between my GS and the F3 I test road was the brake pedal. It took me a little bit to get used to lifting my foot to brake.

    F3 Pedal Height Mod

Have you looked into having them laser cut? You could cut the part and the holes all at once. They shape of the bracket should nest quite nicely and not leave much scrap.

    Power in top case.

Can you Trace the wire for the USB plug? You might be able to find a spot in a different place to tie it into a 12v source that is always hot.

    air compressor for tires

In theory you could run a hose from the Schrader valve on the air bag to a tire. As long as the air pressure was higher in the bag it would fill the tire. Then the compressor would refill the bag as the pressure dropped in the bag. Granted I doubt it would be very fast, or work for long before...

Lamonster Approved Air Pack (silver) not working....

It looks like they are no longer for sale on Lamonsters site. I was hoping to buy one this spring. If there's an issue with the product Lamonsters won't sell it, and should help you with it.

    2008 Spyder GS SM5 Restoration

A vacuum pump bleeder can make bleeding the brakes easier. Also if you have air in the abs module, you will need to have it hooked to a computer with BUDS on it to bleed that system.

JT air filter kit and oil consumption???

That's probably it. JT's air filter moves the hose coming from the breather to a new location. You won't get the oil leaking out of it like the stock airbox will.

    RPM limited on 998?

You might want to check and make sure the shifter linkage didn't come loose. It's been known to happen on the older bikes.

Sport Rack and Givi Monokey Plate

Here is a pic of what I did. I don't think you will need as many standoffs as I used, but I wanted to make sure it was secure, and high enough that I could fully lift the seat.

Sport Rack and Givi Monokey Plate

I don't have very good pics at the moment, but what I did was just used pieces of gray PVC pipe, cut to one inch in length. Then I drilled holes in the sport rack and ran bolts from the Givi mount to the sport rack. I then can either just take the Givi case off, or take the whole rack and case...

    09 RS/GS Highway Pegs

Depending on how much you want to spend. Lamonster makes a great set of pegs. Very easy to install, and well built.

How to sync data on Android devices question.

Ask the device manufacturer, or the publisher of the app. If I want my blood glucose app to sync across devices you have to pay extra for the premium version. You might need to do this with your monitor, or they might not have that functionality in the app yet, but may be working on it for a...

A Tip of the Hat to Baha Ron/Air filter questions

I know of one person that did have issues with rain getting into the motor while riding the Spyder in the rain. You might want to ask JT about what the risks are. I'm not sure if the cover is to be used while riding in the rain or just for sitting in the rain.

Last rides on Mackinac Island's ice bridge captured on video

I've gone over the bridge to the UP on the Spyder and on two wheels. It's definitely an exciting ride, and should be on the list of rides for everyone to do.

    Got Nanny Mad...Codes

The nanny can get confused by you moving the rear wheel and the front wheels not turning also. The nanny thinks that should never happen and can throw codes for that. Typically a ride will clear it up, not I'm not sure if how long a ride you need.

    RSS 2014 Sway bar comparison

The engine stalling at those RPM's could be from the nanny. There is a rev limiter on the Spyders. I don't know if anyone has a ECM flash for the RSS that will change the REV limit.

Spyder Training Course sponsored by BRP

BRP has been working on this for the last year. I'm not sure if every state is going to let you take this class and exempt you from and other tests like some do with the Abate classes. I know one dealer in Indiana is trying to get the ok for the classes to count towards the three wheel license...

    Do Spyders have "black boxes"?

All that means is they need a subpoena and they can have access to the data recorder, and they will do that.

    Sam’s Club closings

They are closing the one in my town. I went last night, because they are taking 25% off of everything. There was a line outside of the building, going around the building. They will only let so many people in the store at one time. People were leaving with carts over filled with stuff. It looked...

The 3 wheeled cycle market just got more interesting

When I was at Homecoming, I noticed that one of the patents on display was for a leaning system. Just because BRP hasn't released one doesn't mean they haven't designed one. Who knows it could be the 10K Spyder coming for 2019.
