• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Trading in my Ryker, it's time for an F3-T - what issues should I be looking for/concerned about?

They were the much acclaimed Vered.....(however its spelled).

Trading in my Ryker, it's time for an F3-T - what issues should I be looking for/concerned about?

Dan, I had a '16 F3T and loved it... until I went the "car tire" route and it rode much harder. My 2c worth is that if you're a hard rider, then maybe the car tires will be best, but if you are an easy rider, stick with Kenda's.

Kenda tires - I truly don't understand the hateful responses to Kenda tires. I have over 22,000 km on mine and they're only 50% worn.

Sorry, not very clear. It was heavy rain, could often barely see 100ft ahead.

While getting a new rear rotor and pads put on at BajaRon's shop a month ago, it seemed prudent to get a new rear tire fitted, as the General R45 prob only had another 6-8K left on it. I had already gone approx 18-20K. I liked the General a lot, but for no reason other than to try something new...

2024 RTL - The ride is a bit rough

I like a soft ride and run 14-15lb front, 18lb rear. No air in bladder as I ride solo only.

Anyone know if Trunk & Cargo nets are available for 2024 RT's?

The Hopnels work great for inside the saddle bag lids. You have to put some small/short metal screws around the inside lid to hook the net to.

2022 RT Ltd - fan ran the entire ride home & then would not shut off, even when I shut off the Spyder - anyone else? Any ideas?

Have you checked the antifreeze/water level? Similar thing happened to a friend and it was extremely low on water, to point the motor would shut down.

Good for you. All those lives lost senselessly and they need to be remembered.

Is it OK to lift a 2017 RT at the receiver hitch?

Ditto what JayBros said above. I like to put 4 1/2 qts or so in till its been run, then top off as needed. Usually there is only a little bit left in the can.

Help Needed - F3 Air Intake Modification

My 16 F3 was totally standard and it had the "burble" as well. I recall others saying the same. Personally I liked the sound of it. :)

1330cc How do I know if my starter motor is going bad?

Like Old Timer said: check your connections to see if they are tight, and if they are and you can get it started, ride it over to Auto Zone, Advance, etc. and they will check the battery for you.

I Killed My Battery - left it on a tender... New battery awaiting collection!

When a battery is completely run down, I don't think a Tender will completely charge it. If you have a charger, see if it will charge it back to "normal".

RT driver view 13-19 vs 20-25

I had a '16 F3 with backrest laid back, bars pulled back, and room for my legs to stretch out. For some unknown reason I traded it on new "22 RT and spent lots of effort getting the backrest low and back to suit me. Even then, is does not have the same space to stretch out the legs like on...

2024 will Crank, but just won't start! More later...

If battery is really low, the trickle charger may not be enough. Put regular charger on.

Spyder pricing (looking for my first) - which do you think is the better deal?

Same here April '23. No dicking around with hidden add ons. Brought my left over '22 right to my door. 24K on it now and I use same dealer that Jay mentioned above for service.

When To Replace Belt tensioner/Vibration Damper/Idler Pulley?

Lamonster sells a roller for about $58 I think, but not 100% sure it will fit on the one that came with the bike. Does anyone know? His complete kit is $139. If I have to take the OE one off to exchange the roller, I think I'd just put a new one one. Edited: Just looked at another vendor...

When To Replace Belt tensioner/Vibration Damper/Idler Pulley?

Lamont says his are good for 15-20K but advises regular checks. I read this forum regularly and don't remember seeing much posted about failures, or issues requiring replacement. My '22 RT has about 24K on it, and I check the roller now and then to see if it feels OK. So far, nothing detected...
