• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What is the Secret to tightening the Axle Nut after Belt Adjustment?

Bruce, can't visualize how you drive a 2 x 4 between wheel and swingarm. Do you have it on a lift and the 2X4 goes in from the bottom? Something diff?

    Looking for a good motorcycle-trike wheel-cleaner?

Been using Simple Green for years. Rear wheel is much harder to clean and you're going to have to get on it with rag. The cleaner can only do so much.

What is the Secret to tightening the Axle Nut after Belt Adjustment?

Many thanks for the feedback. I just came in from giving it another bit of torque and the Kriket reading was about 175 on the ground. If it holds at that, that is prob close enuf to suit. The reason I've been diddling so much with it is either loud whine and/or vibes at uncomfortable...

What is the Secret to tightening the Axle Nut after Belt Adjustment?

I've done it so much I can just about tell by feel whether its within the Kriket range or not. I had about a 130 with wheel up. Will check to see what it reads after a final torque. BTW, I'm just across the Yadkin river about 5 mi up Rt 150.

What is the Secret to tightening the Axle Nut after Belt Adjustment?

I get the belt loosened to where I want it, tighten the axle nut, and the belt tightens! Every time! Have gone thru this a half doz times now. I might have got it right today, purely by luck, as it rode well with no obvious vibrations, but I still need to torque the nut up more. Getting...

    Part finder - Assistance required

I found that getting the pin out was nearly impossible for me so I just use a nylon tie around the bar. The bars on mine are black so the tie is not obvious as it would be on your red ones but its something you can use in a pinch.

Anyone here run Elka or M2 shocks? Your take on them?

If you are going to change the rear shock also, take a close look at the lower ends to see which brand has the stronger connection. Don't know about your model, but a '14, for example, has approx 5 inches between the two braces on the frame. To span this distance the '14 OEM shock has a...

Anyone removed their Engine covers (2021 RTL) & left it exposed? Any downsides?

Me too. There might perhaps be a bit more heat down at the foot level, but I'm not aware of excessive heat higher up. Been on way home lately in couple of 90F days.

Is there a way to Lower OEM passenger foot pegs?

Thanks Troop. Took them out just to see what was involved, with idea of making a footrest, but decided to just order a set from Lamonster and be done with it. Too hot out in shed to mess with it.

Is there a way to Lower OEM passenger foot pegs?

What is that long hex head bolt holding? Have been unable to access the fiche to see what that bolt is holding together, but after reading the above inputs, I think I can also make an additional footrest that would work for me, but don't want to cause a problem when I remove the bolt. .

Is there a way to Lower OEM passenger foot pegs?

Thanks Mike, I'll take a close look at that method, but just off the top, I don't think it would lower them as much as I'd like. My intention is to have the pegs lower 'enough that I can prop my feet back there occasionally just to give my legs a change. I currently have Lemontster foot...

Is there a way to Lower OEM passenger foot pegs?

Does anyone know of any aftermarket brackets made to lower the passenger foot pegs? Suspect I'll have to try a local machine shop, but that might be more expensive than I want. Thought I'd see if anyone has any ideas or creative methods.

2016 F3 Turn signal button is missing - where can I get one?

Niox: If it has an arm sticking out, you can fashion one from JB Weld. Its a two part epoxy material, dark grey once its mixed, and the consistency is much like play dough or putty. Dries hard as a rock.
