• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Outstanding display of enjoying life your way. Good job of telling your story. I assume that you fat fingered a '6' instead of a '7' for I-75, which runs through Georgia, while I-65 is in the next state to the west. True about flying through Atlanta. Same speed I was running at 8:30 in the...

Installed 7000 lumins Fog Lights on my 2021 F3 Limited

Be mindful that the brighter the lights can get the cagers annoyed.

I did make it to the Arctic Circle sign just south of Coldfoot. Was on a new Harley at that time and did not want to beat it up more by going to the end of the Haul Road. You know how "nice" that road is... I was going through South Dakota a couple of years and the crosswinds were over 50 mph...

Like your advice - "get off the couch and follow your dreams". Did the 49 states by motorcycle some years ago (not at one time like you) and heading to Hawaii to get that 50th.

Reading your trip log reminds me of my many trips in that direction. Your way/style of tripping is much aligned to how I do it.

Who else got the Show Chrome Trunk Shock "fix"?

Got it yesterday in mail. Have had no issue with the strut that they sent me earlier this summer so will stick this attachment piece in the drawer and keep if need it some other time.

In all my bike travels and you can tell by my traveled state maps, I did not have reservations but when I rode to Northern Canada, Alaska, and Newfoundland due to little lodging availability. One can find a suitable place to stay especially if you get in by early evening. Gets a little hairy...

Here I thought I was the only one that stopped at the Spam museum. Will vouch for the wind in South Dakota, last time there winds were gusting to 50+ and were cross winds . Not fun riding in.

Can't remember how to replace the brake reservoir pin - Help?! '22 RT

I use a black tie down strap to prevent reservoir from working loose. Just cut off and replace after oil change.

How do you secure your Helmets when leaving your bike?

I am like "lowflyingowl" leave helmet on seat when going into a place for short time otherwise leave in rear or front stowage overnight. I even leave key in ignition when going into to eat or take a break. Must be familiar with a Spyder to figure out how to start and then drive away.

Time to drain the engine oil - do I need to warm it up again?

Helpful to know the interval between last oil change and miles on current oil. If you change regularly, see no reason to warm up.

Buying S2S - What luggage to maximize storage? Add a trunk top mount?

Be a minimalist. You do not need to pack half of your house for a multi- ride. Clothes should be enough for three days then wash. When I first bike traveled for say ten-day ride, I had way too much stuff. After a few more rides, I had plenty extra room.

We talked about a new rear tire for me. I bought one. But is this typical of Kendas?

10,000 miles on oem tires and look like new. I check psi maybe 2x a year. fronts 20, rear about 25.
