• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Full Tank of Fuel

This discussion contains all the reasons a while back I decided to carry a full 1 gallon gas can with me at all times. Most of our "fun" travels out here ARE on back roads (paved of course) and being "sometimes" forgettful, it's comforting to know I have that reserve if I need it. 'course that...

OK, got new bulb in finally and NO ISSUES on flickering since. comment: noticed when I "studied" the old one, a hairline crack in the white (porcelain?) portion of the body assembly.:ohyea: Just noting for others, so you don't at first glance think the bulb isn't bad and go searching for a...

2014 RTL Dash light for engine temp flickers while riding

JayBros, got to the bulb yesterday and pulled it out, looked at it (actually nothing to see for an LED bulb), took connectors off, pushed all back on and installed same bulb. Seemed to be working fine, until last night on a ride, after an hour or so, it stopped again and then flickered on and...

    removing BRP lower belt guard.........how?

OK, nothing critical and sounds stupid I know, but......... what I found was that the 3 nuts (that you can't see or actually hold) are spinning while I'm turning the bolt head. :banghead: Don't think getting a wrench up in there to hold the nut is possible. :dontknow: If so, what size...

Update on (MY) Verdestein QUATRAC5 tire wear Yours may vary

Just reporting MY experience here. :ohyea: Verdestein Quad5 tires. 175/55/R15 Frts. 205/60/R15 Rear Fronts after 13,441 miles and careful measuring of treads, the tires now both read 8/9/8 (32nds). Now carry 15/16 PSI. The Rear after 13,067 miles reads 666 (32nds). Now carry 17/18 PSI...

2014 RTL Dash light for engine temp flickers while riding

Thanks, but just to be clear, the light I am talking about is the "backlighting of the gage", just like the Fuel gage has, not a warning type light. I will check coolant, but it was OK a few weeks ago and no leaks on ground, etc. and the needle for temp is in center of range - right now.

2014 RTL Dash light for engine temp flickers while riding

Anyone know how to/ where you can acess wiring and terminations for this lamp? It doesn't seem to flicker when you just first turn the key on or at idle just before shutting off. :dontknow: While out riding last night it was out/flickering the majority of the time, but was on steady just before...

How do Oregon riders handle this?

That's always been my experience. Never had an issue anywhere in Oregon. They do like to be the one to put your credit card in to start it though. No biggy there.

    Weather in the future

Yes and no...……. The ruling dictator out here has developed and put in place a 4 phase plan on what any county has to have in their "local medical metrics" to enter each of his plan phases. In our county only 3 deaths total so far over the entire timeframe and we are only allowed into Phase 2...

2018 RTL under seat schrader valve?

Now having experienced 2 compressor failures on our 2014 RTL (and paying many $100's for one of the failures because insurance wouldn't cover it based on lack of support from BRP on how much work was actually required to do it), and after #2 then deciding it ain't worth fixing again, I did as...

Confused about Oregon travel limits coming in July

Thanks for the info. We have made this run 5 times in the past so we know the areas pretty well, just not the current state of affairs. We like Florance too. In fact, on our 2014 trip (new Spyder) we got to the Fred Myer gas pumps just outside Florance on fumes after leaving our prior hotel...

Confused about Oregon travel limits coming in July

Thanks. Surprised about the pumping gas thing. The last few years we have travelled in Oregon, we were told (and experienced) that the gas pumping thing was "your choice". Just shows....you never know.
