• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Right low beam on F3 burned out - should I replace both headlights?

Having replaced the same light MANY times, it seems the right is the one that always burns out. A few years ago, I started only replacing that light. I saved the other bulb for when needed, but it will most likely go into the right one as well. I seem to replace the right every 1 & 1/2 to 2 years.

What's YOUR Number One Favorite, Model & Year, of Spyder you'd own given the chance?

I have a '17 RTS, 90k klm on it. Not expecting any issues for a long time yet, but not sure what I will do if it does crap out. I really don't like the looks of the '20 anything (the RT and F3 look the same to me), and I don't want the electronics of the '18. But I don't worry about it, just...

What's best for Cold weather winter storage? Fuel additive? Battery care? Rodents?

I put the stabilizer in, then ride to the gas station to fill the tank. This way it gets mixed, and into the fuel system

Should I buy new? Or keep the old 2014 RT Spyder?

I have a 2017 with 90,000kms. I have done some of what you have and lots that you have not. But the point to that is that both you and I have made the bikes our own. I personally don't like the looks of the newer models, and so would not trade mine in, but even if I did like how they looked...

Anyone purchased BEST Extended Warranty in Canada?

I bought a 2017 RTS, and bought the BEST warrenty. It has expired now. I did use it a couple times, cam position sensor and one of the computer modules, so I guess it was worth it in the end, or at least close

What's the Best place for Spyder service in Vegas area?

I also recomend Henderson. A few years ago, I had a problem while on tour, they not only stayed open late to fix it, but didn't charge me a penny to fix the problem. (It was a mud build-up in the rear brake switch, kept the rear brake on, and the nanny didn't like it!)

How easy is it to replace Mode and Parking buttons? The print on 2019 RTL has gone!

you can't buy the exact replacements, but new covers are available, and you can have some fun with them. https://www.otrattw.net/Contura-II-III/ I replaced my parking brake with a windshield wiper one. But I also bought a blank one and had a sign shop print me an ejection seat sticker that I...

Just completed my 1330 spark plug change!

Last year I did 2 bikes (at the same time) it took 7 hours. The hardest part was getting the air hoses back on both ends. But even that only took a few mins each.

been using the 50s for a couple years now. Great product. Had some issues with volume on the mesh system, but the last update seems to have fixed it.

    RT 1330 Spark plug changeout. Parts 1 & 2

Thank-you for these articles and pics. I did my and a friends plugs this past weekend using your instructions and although there are some minor differences between your 2014 and our 2016 and 2017 machines, I doubt I could have done this without you. Much appreciated. Ray,

Was there a front sprocket recall in Canada that includes the 2017 RTL?

I got my letter from BRP in Oct last year. Took it to my dealer, they said that there was minimal wear on the sprocket and to come back in 18,000km. (I have over 70,000 km on the bike) I will be trying to get a new sprocket anyway in a month or so when I get the bike on the road.
