• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

ESI HMT Brake Light and 'Pulse-On' Effect

Interesting Problem Hey Rocket ... I'm a little confused. The HMT brake light comes with two hook-up modes ... It either run it as a brake light only (that's what I'm doing), or both a running light and a break light. It just depends on which wire (orange vs. red) one uses (NOTE: I mis-spoke...

ESI HMT Brake Light and 'Pulse-On' Effect

Back Off Module Installing the Backoff Module XP onto my Spyder RT this weekend. My plan is conservative. I plan to only integrate the B/O module into my HMT brake light. Question: To what did you ground the module? I want a separate ground point on the frame for the module, and not tap...

    Anybody Install a Shortee Antenna?

I knew I could depend on you guys ... I'll look again. I think I'm hearing my current stock whip is screwed in; therefore it just screws out (unlike the reports from many who say they are loose, mine seems very tight). Once it's out, I screw my new base in, insert the new Shorteez with the...

    Anybody Install a Shortee Antenna?

Does anyone have a how to ... or at least some information on what panels/tupperware need to be removed in order to (1) access the base of the stock whip antenna on the right-rear of the Spyder and/or (2) to punch out the panel hole; identify the mounting hardware (if additional is needed) and...

    Spyders in the Adirondacks

I'm putting together a small posse of Spyder Ryders planning to go to the Spyders in the Adirondacks event in Lake Placid, NY, July 28th through 30th. I live in Maryland, and it appears I'll be departing the area on the 27th, with a route that takes me northeast, eventually, through Allentown...

    Top Box Plugs

Top Case Liner and Shelf Install I just did this installation a bit over a week ago. Nancy's Toy is correct. The pre-cut holes for the 12V socket and the iPod jack, respectively, are just there to give access. If you get the alignment just right, the edges of the holes can actually be pressed...

    How to? Oil Pressure Guage

But the Question was ... Hi Bob ... Thanks for the link; however, my main question had to do with location of and configuration of the sender. The guage part is relatively easy. It's that sender that has me mystified ... especially with with what I'm reading on thread angle, etc. This...

Communication System on 2011 RT Limited

For Marker ... Hi Marker ... To your question on the thread above. I do not use the CB unit and the Chatterbox together. I use them separately, depending on the communications preference of the group I'm ryding with. If with my meetup.com crew, we go FRS/Chatterbox. If I'm ryding with my...

How to? - Shortee antenna/CB cable

So okay ... I have two shortee Antennas ... one will replace the existing RT-S whip for AM/FM/NOAA. The other I want to install on the opposite side of the trunk, and then adapt a CB cable with which I can do one of two things: 1) Have the cable tied and ready to use in my trunk so in an...

    How to? Oil Pressure Guage

Who has adapted an oil pressure guage to their Spyder RT (probably when replacing their old analog guages), and how did you deal with the sender on the Engine? Thanks, ~ Surfer

    what exhaust?

Low Rumble? Low Rumble? Not with a Spyder, no matter what the exhaust and pipes. More of a snappy little 'growl,' actually.

RT Fuel and Water Temp Guage Replacement

Oil Pressure ... Yes. Indeed, I'm re-looking the oil pressure guage option. Problem is, I can't find any successful experience or info on where it integrates on the Spyder. I might have my mechanics do this one. Like baldman has, I'd go for voltmeter on left and oilpressure on right. Wonder...

    139HP Rotax motor

Fuel Range Stating a 'miles per tank' figure can be misleading. One must first be near empty and then fill the tank completely (and if you're not milking the gas nozzle to top it off, then you're not topped off). Note the number of gallons to the decimal point you put in. Then, run the Spyder...

West Virginia State Police ready to Roll

It's True ... but This is actually the State of WV receiving a grant from the NHTSA in recognition of the state having best national statistics on DUI enforement. While the State Police might get a Spyder or two, what the news seems to portray is that the Spyders are being parsed out to various...

RT Fuel and Water Temp Guage Replacement

So okay, I'm currently interested in undoing the instrument cowl on my RT-S PE and pulling the plugs on the current RT fuel and water temp guages: Result -- these two metrics will be displayed on the RT-S's multi-function guage. I think it's odd that these features are built in to the...
