Faint squeal (or faint whistle) when parked
Often, when parked in my garage, I used to hear a sound like a very weak smoke alarm. Finally tracked it down to the RTS. Don't know where. Does not do it all the time and never at a dealer (too much background noise)
Spyder has been on its open trailer for most of the past ten days. Put 60 miles on it around Annapolis Thursday and trailered it here to Bar Harbor in the rain. Had to jump it off to unload it. May have been sitting too long but it was fine in Annapolis and 2 half hour rides should have charged it. After hour on charger, could hear the faint alarm sound. Any thoughts from you pros??

Faint electronic noise after shutdown.
Your owners manual addresses this tone, it is normal.

Will try to find it. Call myself having looked there for it long time ago. However, never have been known for my smarts :-)

It's to keep the throttle body's shut after turning the engine off, It can[the sound] last as long as 40 minutes,
And it's normal..

They say..!!
these creatures have a whole shut down process. Somewhat like windows closing programs and saving data. Difference is the spyder makes noises while doing it..relax ..

Thanks for a quick answer. Been going on but never knew what it was. Wasn't really concerned about til today's weak battery but that is charged now. Going on a ride up here in a week or so. At least one more Spyder but mostly big ol HDs.
Happy Memorial Day Tomorrow
