• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Did an upgrade Sway Bar improve your handling? Which one? And what about Shocks?

When I first began riding a Spyder I rode with some people who took a few curves at 60mph. I was trying to keep up and was fighting the steering and making things worse, unable to do 60mph in the curves. Now, I ride the same exact roads at 60, no problem. I'm not promoting speed, just saying...

    Define "Old"

We all have known for some time now that motorcycling demographics are aging... or getting "older". But aging is not the same for everybody. Some people at 70 seem like they're 50, while some people at 70 can barely stand alone. At 82, I can attest to the fact that aging is real and to be...

Did an upgrade Sway Bar improve your handling? Which one? And what about Shocks?

Specific to your inquiry, from my experience of going from long-term 2 wheels to a Spyder: 1. BajaRon anti-sway bar and aftermarket shocks were a "must" for me, and transformed the ride/handling. Ron will guide you to the correct bar, and there are several aftermarket shocks available for...

NEW NORMAL Age brings a better understanding of things not prior-considered. Axiom 1: Adjust to the “New Normal” Axiom 2: Lower one’s expectations of being pain-free, due to the ever-changing nature of Axiom 1. JAB

    A relaxing Sunday ride.

I went for a little Sunday ride today and was trying to think of a term to describe it, when the following possibilities came to mind: Forest Gump might say “…to nowhere particular”. An old sailor might say “I went gunkholing”. Australian Aborigines might say “I went walkabout”. Robert Frost...

Dress socks, I'm sure, have the best of intentions Of adhering to their high place in social conventions. But, in no time at all, they lose their place and fall To a lowly and slovenly position. JAB

    The Morning Thread

A true story: A few years ago, a lady was bragging about her heritage, saying "I hark back to Charlemagne". I replied: "I hark back to Adam".

What would cause the Brake linkage bolt to fall out?! Any insights?

My 2020 RT has "flange elastic nut" (locknut) on the brake linkage. I'm one of those who turned the bolt around to gain more-direct access to the drain plug, but replaced the locknut with new.

How can theoretical physicists postulate things that are unproven, then use those postulations as proof that some other unproven thing is real?

What did you do to your Spyder today?

96 degrees F and 99% humidity makes John take the Tundra right now... 👹 This too, shall pass.

Sway Bar - Help me decide: BajaRon Regular or Ultimate Sway Bar?

Twisties in Florida? I lived in Pompano Beach for 2 years, and the highest point (other than apartment buildings) was the garbage dump. The most challenging "curve" was turning left at an intersection. :ROFLMAO:

Not rebutting Gwolf, just a personal observation.... Mr Cable would have benefited from a longer stay in the Southern Bayou country. He would have heard the wild birds calling; the gators grunting; the frogs croaking; and the Cajuns playing Zydeco and dancing. The Cyprus trees offer relief from...
