• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Anyone going back and forth from their Spyder to a motorcycle?

Not a problem for me. Had my F3-S along with my Honda CTX1300 for about 6 months before I sold the CTX. Never was an issue. The CTX has been gone 3 years now, but last month I started dirt riding again in preps for the Florence Grand Prix race in Florence, KS, last weekend. Again, no problems...

Does it matter which way an Asymmetrical tire is installed on the rear of a Spyder?

“Does it matter which way an asymmetrical tire is installed on the rear of a Spyder?” I certainly hope not …. This is my Bridgestone Potenza RE-71RS.

    Arkansas trip

Love riding in north-central Arkansas. Just this last September, I led a group of 5 members of the CTX1300Forum.com on a couple day trips. One was from Clarksville to Mountain View to Mountain Home to Jasper to Clarksville. This was my 3rd time riding the area in the last 5 years. The 5 riders...

Rear tire options - any suggestions?

I run a Bridgestone Potenza RE-71RS summer performance tire, 225/50R15. Very sticky, very stable. Has made a run from extreme south Texas to northern Arkansas (in one day) and back with no problems. Kinda expensive, but it sticks well in the twisties, and at the drag strip. I am MORE than happy...

Anyone use an Iridium face shield? Any advantages/disadvantages?

Pretty much what Hypurone said above. Used several, but is a problem if riding at night. Am now using a Transition lens on my current Shoei helmet. Love it!

Is the fuel gauge accurate on an F3?

Fuel gauges on both our F3-S’s (‘15 and ‘17) are pretty accurate. If you’re doing a lot of hot-dogging or 75mph+ interstate riding, you’re gonna want to start looking for fuel around 150 to 170 miles. Normal riding will be closer to 200. I believe the yellow “low fuel” light comes on when two...

    My Ryker Rally Adventure Thread

Thx so much for posting this!! Got my heart rate up while watching it! Now I feel like I need to go take a shower to get the mud off! Loved the views of brushing the bottoms of some of the clouds! 👍🏼👍🏼. Glad you made it all the way through … not likely a local tow truck would help much!!

Thoughts on my first SS1000 with the Spyder

Thanx, jdg, for the report. I have done a couple SS1000’s and a BB1500 Silver on my Honda CTX1300. No official IBA rides so far on the F3-S. Another 2-1/2gal of fuel would be great for these runs. Still watching/thinking about a relatively cheap, simple setup for these FI systems.

    Random thought for the day

Had a gent in our little town who had an Enco (Exxon) station decades ago. He put a mailbox at the curb on Main Street, but atop a 15’ pipe about 2” diameter. In big block letters on the box was “Air Mail”!

Any foreseeable problems or concerns with this Trailer Hitch Suspension?

Neat idea. Two things I’d change. First - those springs appear to be plastic. If so, I wouldn’t trust them. That hitch is probably making hundreds of small bumps up and down per minute. Second - I would replace the top nut with a jam nut (about 1/2 the thickness) to bring your springs/tongue...

F3S windshield. Is the "glass" only available without hardware?

That hardware *does not* come “factory” on the bike. It *does* come in the box with the BRP Blue Ridge windshield (I believe all mounting parts are the same on the BRP Route 129, as well). If you have a Blue Ridge or Route 129, you can unbolt just the windscreen from the brackets and the...

F3S windshield. Is the "glass" only available without hardware?

That looks to be a BRP Blue Ridge windshield. The 'Glass' is only available as a complete kit. I have the Route 129 - a smaller version of the Blue Ridge. Same deal. There are a few aftermarket companies that sell just their own 'glass', and you reuse your BRP hardware. Others have a complete...

Is there any way to buy the European style rear lighting kit on arms in America?

Correct, TheMariner. Martin’s parts are to change the inboard factory brake lights (just like ours) to LED’s. Does nothing for the lights on the outboard stalks (turn signals).
