• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Sorta Newb Question?

I bought a new Spyder in Feb. For me the deciding factor was the gas tank size. In southwest USA, the fuel stations can be 40-50 miles apart and my previous machines would get at least 200 miles between fill-ups. So from experience I prefer a larger tank. A quick estimate in round numbers, at 30...

    Martin Slovakia is officially famous

I was debating with myself about buying a :spyder2:, due to the 5 miles of dis-repaired country road that I must travel to get to paved road.:yikes: A typical example about one mile from my house that I had to repair: After repair: I happened to view one of Martin's YouTube videos and it...

    Being seen

jaherbst: "It is a mental thing. Even though they are looking right at you they mentally block you out because they have been trained their whole life to look for a car and you are invisible to them. " I agree! Your First One

It is said that we revert to our childhood as we get old. I did not own this but it was my first ride on a motorcycle. My Uncle would take me with him to pickup 50 lb ice block for the icebox at the family cycle shop. After that were several different motorcycles and now the Spyder. Photo from a...

Oops ! I locked my key in the "Frunk" the other day and.....

JFD, I do the same thing, key on a card. In addition I have made a habit of always, on dismount, attaching the main key to a chain attached to my belt using metal clips and a carabiner. Very quick and easy and I always know where the key is. Since my Spyder is new to me, I am thinking of having...

First post, New Member, not yet an owner of a Spyder

Welcome WillieB! My situation is similar to yours, ie new to Spyders. This seems to be a good forum, I have been looking at it for about 3 months, a lot of good info explaining "gotchas" and good people. I suggest a lot of investigation on this site prior to purchase. Also check out the vids on...

Thanks for this thread. I have many years on 2 wheels. New to Spyders, only about 120 miles, still trying to get my "sea legs". Haven't enjoyed it much especially on the twisties. Planning to put a couple of hundred on it today. Thanks for the nuggets of info. BikerBeast...
