• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Tennessee Trip - I'm off to BajaRon's!!

Those are awesome roads. Not sure which part of 28 is considered "Moonshiner 28" (even though I been going every year since 2008), but it is an awesome ride all the way from the Dragon, down to and through Highlands, NC. And their are some awesome waterfalls along the way.

    Tennessee Trip - I'm off to BajaRon's!!

That sounds like an awesome trip. Are you headed this way now, or is this for a future date? We are in the middle area of NC (Raleigh area), but do the areas that you mentioned at least once a year.

Our 6x12 enclosed trailer set up for our Can Am Spyder S2S

That is an awesome enclosed trailer set up! Looks like you thought of everything. You will love riding on the East Coast. When doing the Dragon, don't overlook the Cherohola Skyway and the Foothills Parkway. Those are just a couple of the numerous roads in the area that will just blow your mind.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Got in a nice little 140 mile ride on Sunday. Great weather around 75 degrees, but a little windy. Had storms forecast for Monday and all the local schools closed. We got some wind, but really not much else. This coming saturday is looking good and plans are being made.

First Ride of the 2026 Season

We are looking at a possible record high of 88 today. They are saying this is the warmest start to March in a long time. I think we have broken 3-4 record highs this March so far. We got a drop in temps and some rain coming tomorrow, and then back up to the low to mid 70's this weekend.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Made our first long ride of the season. Went from the Raleigh area down to Atlantic Beach. Then we continued down 50 until we got to Emerald Island and made a back road treck back to Kinston before hopping on 70 for the ride home. Of course, we had to stop at McCall's for some good old fashion...

2015 F3 S - are there specific locations the footpegs adjust to? How far back? What to look for in a new to me purchase?

If you can get the vin, you can possibly get a history from a dealer of the service and repairs or recalls that have been done. Usually (around here anyway) you can get a pretty good deal on spyders and motorcycles at a car dealership because they really don't want them on their lots anyway...

Spyder decisions - any suggestions on what to buy as my first Spyder?

Sounds like an F3S is what you are looking for. There are some great deals out there right now. My buddy just sold his wife's 2022 for a smoking price. But there was a 2015 F3S on this site for a great deal. You can easily find a good F3S for under $12k. If you are patient, you can find them for...

I admit defeat - I now understand how dealers might charge $7-800.00 for a spark plug change!

Even though I used to do my maintenance on my cars and trucks, I find that now I can take those same hours and work to make the money to have a professional do it. I still like the satisfaction of doing some things myself, but the hardest part can be finding someone who you can trust to actually...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Nothing today, but will be giving it a wash and a general check over before making my first longer ride of the season. I'm taking a group from the Raleigh area to Morehead City and Atlantic Beach for a day trip. I was really wanting to go to the mountains, but the chance of rain there had me...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Rode the BMW this weekend, but with temps in the 80s for this coming weekend, I plan on taking the Spyder out. Was really thinking about either riding to the beach (Carolina Beach) or the mountains (Tazwell, Va to ride the Back of the Dragon). I like the mountains more, but then I realized that...

Spyder shopping - 998 vs 1330, is the 1330 that much better?

What you said above, makes all the difference in the world. I almost picked up a 20k mile 2010 about a year ago for $2500. The only thing that stopped me was the fact that I had a 2021 RTL and a 2016 F3L already in the garage. I wish I had picked it up for my brother, but by the time I told...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

After having to miss 2 great days last week where the temps were in the 70's, I was determined to ride Saturday. Woke up and it was raining. :( So I went out to the office and worked until around 2, when things had cleared up and the sun was coming out. Wife was still gone, so the timing was...

How do we add rider map to our Signature block?

Wow, I finally did something on this new format that worked! Normally when I go to insert a picture, no matter what I do, I get a message saying I did something wrong and it had to be corrected. I got most of the States in except for the upper NorthEast. Plan on leaving June 1 to finish that up.

    Winter Blues? No ride today...

We got some ruff weather here too. Nothing with snow, but not the best for riding. The 2 days we had last week were great, but work had me locked down. Hopefully this weekend will be better. I think they are calling for mid to low 60's. For February and March, I will take it.
