• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Can Am Spyders Resale value isn't great...

I have a few toys, and they will probably be sold as part of my estate, since I find it hard to part with them. The only reason that I don't have a half dozen bikes in my stable is because the wife would have a fit. I know they will be sold off one day, but just like my cars, trucks, and guns...

Can Am Spyders Resale value isn't great...

You are correct. I don't really think too much about resale, but I do really search for a bargain when it comes to the purchase price. The biggest time I consider resale is when it comes to mods. I know that I will not hold onto many bikes for very long. I have been riding a relatively short 19...

Can Am Spyders Resale value isn't great...

You are so correct. I got a great deal on the 2 Spyders that I currently have. But I am seeing deals out there now that rival the ones that I got 2-3 years ago. I just saw a very low milage F3S for $5500 near me. If the wife wouldn't have my head, I would pick it up for a spare. But I will try...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

About to ride the RTL and the BMW out to get annual inspection done. Supposed to be 74 degrees today, and not sure how many more of those we will get this season. Might give the Spyder a good wash job to prepare for the Christmas parade in 2 weeks.

Can the Passenger Back Rest on a 2025 S2S be moved forward a few inches? Not the whole trunk, just the backrest...

That is for sure. My buddy did an SS1000 with his wife on the back. She fell asleep in short order and woke hours later to ask why her feet were wet. They had ridden through a rain storm and she didn't realize it. That is what I call a 'ride or die' chick, but she stayed on and didn't waver.

Learning to ride this bike: my progress so far

I agree 100%! I have ridden with so many people locally and at the rally in Maggie Valley who have thrown all types of money on their Spyders in the form of shocks, swaybars, etc. And every time I end up waiting for them at the next turnoff. Yes, I did install a swaybar eventually on my 2016...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Rode the RTL to church yesterday. Nice little 115 mile ride. Noticed that this was the first time on this particular bike since getting back from Maggie Valley in mid Octorber. It still had some of the road grime on it. Going to get it all cleaned up and ready for a Christmas parade in 3 weeks.

Trading in my Ryker, it's time for an F3-T - what issues should I be looking for/concerned about?

jcthorne, that's good to know. I have a 2016 F3L special series and love it even without the top case. Had 2 of the 2016 F3T styles and they were great too. I like the large sprocket. When I first got the F3T, the biggest thing I noticed was that I could climb slight grades still in 6th gear...

    FS: 2012 BRP RT-622 Trailer

I am surprised that this hasn't sold yet. That is a pretty good price on an RT 622. I guess trailer prices have gone down like they have on Spyders and 2 wheelers. I was going to post my Freedom Trailer for sale, but I might wait until Spring and see how it goes. Good luck with your sale.

Probably a stupid idea - thinking I might go from a 2018 F3 Ltd to an RTL S2S - am I crazy and should just keep what I have?

I am surprized at that. I agree with keeping the F3L, but my wife feels like she had more room on our 2021 RTL than she had on the F3T with the passenger backrest. Maybe there is more room when using the top box that comes on the F3L over the F3T.

Trading in my Ryker, it's time for an F3-T - what issues should I be looking for/concerned about?

I know the 2017 F3L gets the smaller rear sprocket, but I was told by my mechanic that the F3T in 2017 did get the larger rear. That is why he suggested getting a F3T and adding the top box in 2017. I know the F3 series in 2016 got the larger one, even on the F3L. But I could be mistaken.

Nov 2025 Bucket list trip to North Carolina and back, over 2400 miles.

That sounds like quite an adventure. I would love to be able to do more traveling like that. I am planning a North Eastern trip for late next Spring/early Summer. That will be to finish up the 48 State tour that I started last May. I think I have about 12-13 States North and East of NC to do...

Blue Skies, dry roads, and 70° - Great Spyder Ride! If this is "global warming", bring it on!

Beautiful 74 degrees here in NC today, but I only rode about 30 miles on the K1600 today. Got home and washed the convertible to get it ready for a ride to church tomorrow morning 😎

I'm here at BAJARON's - Greeneville, TN. Loading up with Farkles!

Heard a lot about him, and even have installed 2 of his sway bars, but never had a chance to meet him in person. I think he is only a few hours away from me, so I will have to make a day trip to just say hi, and maybe get a few things. Great to have someone that you can trust. Looking forward...

Trading in my Ryker, it's time for an F3-T - what issues should I be looking for/concerned about?

I would start off with an upgraded sway bar before moving to shocks. If you want more throttle response, a Pedal Commander or Pedal Box will help that.
