• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

For those going to Maggie Valley next week, Keep an eye on the weather!

If you like, shoot me a message when rolling through the Raleigh area. I’m located in Apex (just outside of Raleigh). I’m available most saturdays. Sunday is more of church and family time. I was thinking about riding over to Sanford on Saturday for Southern Supreme open house.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Well, we were supposed to be having a tech day at my house today, but due to the front coming in, we have had light showers all day. But I did get a chance to install the accent light in the front that I ordered from Slingmods, and I installed my rack for the extra storage that I will be needing...

For those going to Maggie Valley next week, Keep an eye on the weather!

That would be perfect. Normally the weather is much clearer after a storm like that passes. It will also be great for doing the waterfall rides and eating lunch along the river at Tapaco Resort. We will be there in 2 weeks. I am installing an additional light and my trailer hitch rack this morning.

After some True Can-Am insight - will I be making a huge mistake buying the RTL or F3?

Dropping speed down to 45 will not result in it downshifting from 6th. With it downshifting at 30, that actually sounds about right. I am not certain, but I have been to 45 and in 6th gear many times. This does not sound like a problem. Test ride another and see if you get the same or...

    FS: 2019 F3-S

Great looking spyder, at a good price. My wife is 5'-2" and got her 3 wheeled license on a ryker when she took the class. We picked up a F3T at a great price, but I had to hear all about how great the Ryker was for the first month of ownership. I asked her later did she want to sell the...

I've gone from ATGATT to H (just Helmet).

I also see the 3 wheels as being a safer option. I have a 2 wheeler and always wear gloves, full face or modular helmet, boots, and a jacket. When I am on the Spyder, I will ditch the full helmet for a 3/4, the boots for sneakers or hiking shoes, and the full gloves for fingerless gloves. As...

Long Weekend Incident Report – Can-Am Spyder RT Limited

Hopefully it will give you good service from now one. I am on my 5th and 6th Spyders. So far I have had good service out of them all. I did make a purchase a little while ago that really scared me. Picked up a 2016 Mini Cooper S for the wife. Very low milage, and had all the good equipment and...

For those going to Maggie Valley next week, Keep an eye on the weather!

I have actually been to a rally up there during the later half of one of those tropical storms. Sometimes the mountains tear them apart and you have great weather 10 miles down the road. One year the wife wasn't going out due to the steady rain in Maggie Vally that morning. I went anyway. As...

Has anyone lowered a 2020+ RT seat?

I have come to the conclusion that whatever the seat and on whichever bike, I still can only get 100 miles out of it and remain comfortable. I have an AirHawk and a gel pad that I use when necessary.

Why so many Rykers for sale?

Thanks so much for the insight. I am on my 6th Spyder. I have been rather lucky with each one of them. I even had a 2012 RSS that I loved. Only issue with it was the excessive heat. The most troublesome one so far would have to be my current 2021 RTL. That is mainly due to the poor quality of...

Why so many Rykers for sale?

I have noticed a lot of Rykers (Spyders too) for sale over the past 3-6 months. They are at really good prices and most under 8k miles. I was wondering if the introduction of the Canyon had something to do with it? I am not looking for a real "off road" type of machine, but with some of the...

OEM Battery getting weak, need a replacement for both Spyder's - what's recommended/preferred?

Funny thing, my 2016 F3L and my 2021 RTL both went out at the same time. One was 4 years old and the other was 11 years old. Never used a tender on either one, but rode them about once every 2weeks. I replaced them both with one from Batteries Plus.

After some True Can-Am insight - will I be making a huge mistake buying the RTL or F3?

As stated above, it is great that you found someone to let you test ride the spyder for so long. I also would like to mention that the 1330 started in the 2014 RT series and in 2015 F3 Series. I would not be afraid of any spyder from those models to the current one. The 2020+ RT series got an...

Doing a tech day - Raleigh, NC area!

I was just in Sevieville for 7 days during the Labor Day holiday. Wife and I were on the Mini Cooper and saw a lot of Spyders there. Possibly there for the bike rally that was being held in Maggie Valley on 9/5-7. The bad part was that 441 that runs from Gatlinburg to Cherokee is closed and that...

Doing a tech day - Raleigh, NC area!

As the title says, we are doing a local tech day to help some of the locals get more familiar with their machines. Nothing too intense, just possibly do a couple of oil changes or sway bar installs. Might even be just doing things as simple as showing others how to properly check fluids and tire...
