• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    2020+ Suspension F3 vs. RT

We picked the RT for the seating position and higher ground clearance for traveling the rougher back roads. I figured we would just be upgrading the suspension anyway and could get the performance of the F3 with a modified RT with more storage and comfort.

FS: 2023 Can Am Spyder RT-Limited in Northern CA

I tried to build it up the best way possible. I learned long ago that I needed to make the wife's experience the best possible if I want her to continue to participate!

    The 'Full Synthetic' Myth Exposed

As with most things, it would be nice to really know what you are buying because it's marked on the bottle? Why does everything have to be about misrepresentation/deception for profit? Just tell us type lll, lV, or V so we can make a educated decision? Generally you can tell by the price, but...

Is the Alternator shaft squeal just a nuisance, or is it damaging anything?

There ya go... a system capable of 90A shouldn't be slipping to charge a 7AH battery regardless of how discharged the tiny battery is? Surely the power steering draws much more! See what happens in the coming months on this. At least "maybe" they have acknowledged there "could" be an issue?

Is the Alternator shaft squeal just a nuisance, or is it damaging anything?

I didn't notice the squeak until I swapped in a LIFEPO4 battery. It would go away for a bit after changing the oil, but would come back sometimes but only after starting the bike. Swapped back and it went away. My theory is the lower impedance characteristic or the LIFEPO4 battery was putting a...

Any idea why my Rear Shock Bolt bends in the middle?

If it bottoms and the shock feels healthy, then yes... add some more damping with the clicker. You can go full tight and back off as needed to your liking for one method, or you could add 3-5 clicks at a time until it feels right. I like to move at least 3 clicks at a time, so that you can feel...

Any idea why my Rear Shock Bolt bends in the middle?

That's a trick question... Why do you think you need more damping? Are you bottoming out? If so, is your shock healthy? See the stoke test in my post above.

Any idea why my Rear Shock Bolt bends in the middle?

At first look, my eye is drawn the load being placed in the center of the bolt/shock eye with that 2pc spacer setup, but it's not like the net is littered with broken shock bolt reports? You might consider boring the spacers to the ID of the shock eye, drilling out your mounting bracket on the...

Any idea why my Rear Shock Bolt bends in the middle?

I know everyone is trying to be helpful, but SOOOOO much misinformation here! I'm all about tech and learning, so lets put these misnomers to rest so that it won't keep getting regurgitated in our echo Spyder chamber? The length of the spring has zero effect on the ride or rate. Its already...

What kind of Canyon Rear Tire Life are you seeing? What Replacement Options are there?

That's not a very agressive tire considering the Canyon's intended use and a machine that's already going to be challenged for traction off pavement? The thought has crossed my mind to have a spare rear wheel so we can have both types of tires ready to swap out.

What kind of Canyon Rear Tire Life are you seeing? What Replacement Options are there?

You might see 10k out of a rear then? On our RT, the OE rear tire was gone at about 5k miles and we got 12k out of the rear Kumho. Just replaced to fronts right at 20k.
