• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    I have one that I just installed recently on my 12 RSS. Previously I had the factory backrest on my 09 GS. I much prefer this backrest compared to the factory version because of the option of using it for the "driver" as well as the passenger. It is very well made and fits solidly to the bike...

    :agree: Same story here. I never expected my two bikes would ever be collecting dust, but they are. It's good to know I'm not the only one going thru this. Spyders are a bit like Hds in one respect - "if I have to explain it........."

    insurance in nevada

    I'm using Safeco here in Carson City. Took a little doing though as mine was the first Spyder my agent had seen and the home office had a little trouble identifying it too. Finally got it worked out and now I'm good to go. Welcome to Nevada!

    Ear plugs? Wouldn't ride without them. They took a little getting used to at first but now they are an absolute requirement for riding.

    There is a gathering of Spyders planned for April 29 - May 2nd in the Carson/Reno area. So far 18 ryders are planning to attend - mostly from California. This is a casual, informal event that should be a lot of fun. If any Nevada ryders out there (besides me) would like to be a part of this fun...

    What do/did you do for a living?

    Retired 10 years from 37 years of Fed. Govt. service. Worked for the Navy and the Air Force but spent the last 25 yrs. with the FAA trying to keep civilian aircraft from running into each other. Life is a lot simpler and a lot more fun now. :ohyea:
