• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Say Goodbye to the Night Sky?

I remember in the 60's at our family cabin up in the mountains at around 5,000 ft, us kids would go outside at night and lay on our backs in the grass and admire the milky way. You might get lucky and see (1) satellite, and it was cool to actually see one. Now, meh!

Has anyone gone from a Ryker to a Spyder then back to a Ryker?

Only you can decide which machine works the best for you. IMHO though, The Spyder can do more, more comfortably than the Ryker, and is a more versatile machine.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Took an awesome ride through the Redwoods today. I just meandered along like the tourist do at around 45 mph on a 55mph posted speed limit. Honestly though, I'm glad they do drive slow, because its a narrow winding road with big drop offs into the river. Temps in Eureka were 55° & a light...

Anyone done a Cat Delete leaving stock muffler on?

In the end, this is what I like the best. No delete pipe, and a Akrapovic Sinister exhaust can.

Is there a deflector to deflect heat from the engine away from the legs - F3-S

I've never heard of this problem on a F3S, but I don't ride naked 🤪

What is the oil capacity of a 2026 S2S? Does it hold more than 5 Qts of oil?

I dump 5 quarts in the 1330, after draining both the crankcase and the transmission side. Run it, check it, and add more if needed. So far, in the 4 times I've changed the eng oil & Filter, I usually use 5.2-5.3 quarts. Next oil change will be early, less than 5,000 miles, but I'll have 20,000...

Any Suggestions for new Riding Footwear?

These are the Boots I wear. I got them at Kohls and used a coupon and they ended up costing me $13.00. They work great on the F3S, and they are light and comfortable to walk in. I don't think I'll ever find a better deal. Mine are a couple of years old and are still in excellent shape.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Around here on the North Coast of California, it's usually misting or wet fog until around noon, so I usually wait until then to go for a ride. When I commuted for 15 years by motorcycle, I had to deal with that every day. Glad I retired.

Do you have a vegetable garden &/or grow any Fruit trees? What time & effort do you put into it, and what do you grow?

We have Blueberries, and blackberries in our garden. We let the birds feed on them. We also had a family of foxes this year, and the Kits loved the Blueberries.
