• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Turn signals work sometimes; hazards always - maybe a Cluster problem?? Ideas?

Well, that is a great start to the Monday... Called the dealer to confirm the cost of a new cluster. Yep, discontinued! He said he will make some calls, but is not confident that they would be able to get one... This explains why some/most ebay sales of "pre-owned" units are over-priced...

Turn signals work sometimes; hazards always - maybe a Cluster problem?? Ideas?

Thanks DickB I suppose it makes some sense. But if it "talks" to the Can-bus one would think it should be something that the BUDS could watch in real time or report (turn signals anyway). I'm getting to old for this stuff LOL! My last toy to hold on to or sell is a VW trike, that I am...

Turn signals work sometimes; hazards always - maybe a Cluster problem?? Ideas?

Thanks Peter that is good to know... I am so busy fighting with an ex-employer and the Canadian Gov. for EI that I am also become very limited in available aux brain power for anything but the fight... But I will try to look into it over the weekend (when I can wake up and not have to fight...

Turn signals work sometimes; hazards always - maybe a Cluster problem?? Ideas?

Thanks Bfromla, No trailer harness. There are aftermarket rear signals on it but they have been there since I bought it used, and worked for almost 10 years with zero issues. Yours sounds like a gremlin was licking the diode LOL.. That is evil. It has to be the most expensive thing LOL...

Turn signals work sometimes; hazards always - maybe a Cluster problem?? Ideas?

Thanks Snowbelt. Yes I have checked each pin and wire on the cluster harness. I have sprayed and cleaned the plug and connectors. As I say with the cluster in hand, I can wiggle and jiggle the plug or wires and nothing... Small whap on edge of cluster and it seems to work. But this won't stay...

Turn signals work sometimes; hazards always - maybe a Cluster problem?? Ideas?

So Seriously upset at the moment... It seems as though my cluster is to blame for my intermittent turn signals problem. 2011 RS SE5 Turn signals work sometimes, but not often.. I know it is not the bar switch. I know this because the indicator will not light when they don't come...

Opinions on Synthetic Oil For RSS SE5??

That is just it I put 2000 measly KM on the bike this summer I never hit the actual intervals. But change it out before our -30 C winters for storage. May be it is a waste but at least I know the oil is fresh and I can hop on and ride come spring.

Opinions on Synthetic Oil For RSS SE5??

I know there is a lot of post on oil that is run on your spyder. I don't see a lot of mention that "a lot of us" run a full synthetic oil in the SE5 SEMI AUTO transmissions. I an tired of the foamy oil from BRP and I will give this PITA bike one more summer to impress me. I am going to go...

Changed to a 215/60/15 on a RSS. Shock clearance concern

Thanks guys. I did rotate the shock. I hit a good bump on the way to work. Heard a loud bang. Can't tell if the flange hit the swingarm. Or maybe things just settled. I will keep a eye on it. One thing I noticed is the taller tire did change the final gearing slightly. I found that it...

Changed to a 215/60/15 on a RSS. Shock clearance concern

I just installed my new tire. Cooper Cs5 Ultra touring. This is a taller tire as we know. But wow is it close the the shock flange on the bottom. See the pictures. Can I rotate the flange to the front? Kinda looks like I have to.

    Reverse LIGHT? Stupid factory idea?

That is a question I was saving for later (Trailer hitch for RS) But this makes sense why not offered on RS now..... Now will a hitch "FIT" a RS? This is what I am thinking of. Would only need one. Very low profile 170 degree flood and a few straight beam LEDs. Cree LEDs have never let me...

Another tire question.. Summer or all season (Spyder RS-S)

Awesome advice guys thank! I am looking at some specs on the tires listed on the site I posted in original post. Most of those brands are not known to me either so I would have to rely on multiple reviews and figure in car/vs/bike scenario. Mazzini Tires MZ1856014E3 | MAZZINI ECO307 Tires...
