• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Yeah, I thought about going the warranty route, but didn't feel like going through the hassle again next year.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

UPDATE: Have spent the last couple of days riding the hilly twisties around La Crosse, Wisconsin. These shocks are amazing! Fiddled with rebound a bit, and the shocks combined with the BR Ultra bar completely transforms the Spyder. Much more stable and "planted" on smooth and not-so-smooth...

A post from Lamont on FB...

Lamont, Those who don't understand your choices have never had to make them. I have, and understand completely. Please know that there are a whole lot of folks out here who you have never met who are thinking of you, Joan, and family right now.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Installed Ikon front shocks. Roger at Ikon US has a wealth of knowledge and was great to work with. And a big thanks to Peter Aawen for recommending them! - - -

RTL - brake pad replacement intervals. Just replaced my pads at 21,000 miles. Is this a fair mileage?

As a comparison for you, my front pads and rotors were toast at just under 10k. 1 year old 2023 RTL. Just installed EBC Rotors and Pads (FA630V). Hopefully they last a bit longer. Loaded bike, big guy (240-50#'s w/gear), 50/50 Interstate and State/County 2 Lane. (And, no, my right foot does...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

New EBC Rotors and Pads (FA630V) on the front. OEM Pads/Rotors at just under 10k miles: - Pads: 1 mm - Rotors: Warped like a Dime Store Potato Chip. Hope these perform a bit better for a bit longer than stock... Am a big believer in benefits of floating Rotors, but MTV's are a tad pricey...

Getting a Vibration through the seat - anyone offer a seat cushion to offset? Any tips/hints?

AirHawk Pad and/or Sheepskin. I use them together on my RTL and am comfortable in all conditions. FYI that gel pads have a tendency to retain heat, so if you're in a hot area, it may become a bit uncomfortable if used without a sheepskin or some other cover.

How many miles do you have on your Spyder?

Right at 10k miles. Purchased 6/19/25. 8 months actual riding time. New/Leftover 2023 RTL. My first Spyder after 55 years on 2 wheels. I love this thing!

What did you pay for your 9,000 mile service?

Just had my 10K check up this week. Was referred to an Independent shop that is owned by a Can-Am Certified Tech, with another CT on staff: VC Cycle in Indianola, Iowa. Oil/filter change (they stock the factory BRP synthetic oil/filter kit), an in-depth inspection of the bike including belt...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Das, How do the EBC Pads/Rotors look after 11K? How much pad life left, and are the pads chewing up the rotors? How are they on brake dust. I need new pads (9,900 miles) and am waffling between just doing OEM pads or upgrading to the EBC kit. Thanks in advance! DOR55
