• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Does a Lithium Battery work in a 2008 GS? What Lithium Battery did you use?

Solid battery. 600CCA is nice, I've had tons of AGMs over the years and I'm always willing to sacrifice AH for CCA, but I do ride often. My maintainer rarely gets plugged in these days.

Taking a trip to windshield-land - what do you recommend?

Agreed, we spoke for 10 minutes about Spyder windshields, then an hour on classic fairings. Smart dude, and hates taxes... He's in Florida and I'm in Texas, so we know we're both lucky in that regard. Very pleased, another great vendor for this community.

Lighting project started... 3 days ago! Anyone had any voltage issues with TricLED lights?

Completed all but the side mirrors. The fog lamps aren't too bad, the chin accent LED is... well, I guess it doesn't look terrible.

Amsoil package change for their 10W40 Metric Motorcycle Oil

I'd check with @BajaRon I believe he still has plenty of Amsoil inventory.

Windscreen rattle - is this an easy fix?

I had the same issue on my factory F3T lowboy. When I installed a new GP Cycleworks windshield, it went away. I believe the rubber washers were the culprit. The old washers basically fell apart when removing them.

Installing TricLED mirror lights, need some wire routing help?

Good afternoon, all. I mistakenly purchased the TricLED mirror lights from SlingMods, along with a few other items, and here's my issue: While trying to push the wires from the mirror housing down toward the A frame, where the harness is installed, I'm unable to get any traction. With a PTFE...

Lighting project started... 3 days ago! Anyone had any voltage issues with TricLED lights?

Fog lamps look pretty decent on my test ride. I switched the provided washers with a more robust one.

Lighting project started... 3 days ago! Anyone had any voltage issues with TricLED lights?

After weeks of staring at boxes in the garage, and finally remembering what they were. I found the DRL/Fog kit, mirror lights/indicators, brake flashy thing, and the nose DRL. As you can see, progress is slow since I'm a full-time caregiver for my terminally ill wife and mother, I have a touch...

Anybody see a measurable change in fuel mileage with larger diameter rear tire?

This! There was a FB post last year that helped explain belt diameter and rollout. Good stuff, great stuff Peter! https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1DL2MBA4ZD/

    Exhaust-ed day

**edited to be sure that manufacturing humor in the far east isn't taken as political, and to help ensure we locate the lowest common denominator of intellectual stature and stay there** Tires are fun.

    Exhaust-ed day

Yes. I imagine the specs in the RFP-M provided to manufacturers where largely dimension and structural in nature. I only saw a few of these in my career, but longevity usually trumps performance, and tons of legalese to keep in-house council occupied/justified. Whatever the case may be, Kenda...

Are there any new computer Updates for the 2024 Spyders?

My update was long too, but not because of the firmware package size. The Canbus not being able to move data faster than 1Mbps from nvram on the board was the culprit (I think). My Spyder is a 2024, so maybe they've changed it. I know that some auto manufacturers have updated their ARM...
