• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Spyder Sightings

Tuesday while riding in MO and stopped to eat, a lady came over and asked where I got my "Never underestimate an old man with a Can-Am Spyder" tee-shirt. She said they rode a 2026 S-S and it was in the parking lot. They were from MN. I spoke briefly with her husband and asked if he had ever run...

Fitted new EBC pads, now I have a Brake noise - anyone else? Any fixes?

Most importantly, how does she stop? Mine has a swishing noise on my right front, but the last time I was practicing my emergency stopping, she stopped well and straight. I have the EBC pads and stock rotors. I did not cut the slots in the pads like the instructions suggested.

Totally bonkers 'Miles to empty' on 2020+ Spyder - can it be fixed?

The high is 34.58 mpg and low is 33.25 MPG which tells me you are getting your fill levels pretty consistent. The overall is 34.01 MPG. If this is a mixture of city and cruising, I would be ok but if mostly cruising I personally would be disappointed.

My F3S tire is showing wear after only 2000 miles.

Good point Ron on the WHICH tires that they carry. The reverse trikes are more prone to aquaplaning because you have one tire pushing the two fronts. The rear can get quite squirrelly! One of the reasons directional tires were designed was their superior anti aquaplaning abilities. I have been...

WTB: 2018 RT Left side Air Duct

I'm confused. This didn't come off while you were riding it did it? Mine looks like it would almost take an act of God to deliberately remove it from the machine.

My F3S tire is showing wear after only 2000 miles.

I'm surprised your tires are aging out, as I see you just surpassed 100k on your bike! Nothing on mine ever ages out.

My F3S tire is showing wear after only 2000 miles.

Have you worn one out? If so at what mileage did you replace it?

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Changed oil (Amsoil 10W40). I went a little over at 10,300 miles this time. Pulled a sample at 9,300 miles exactly and I'm still waiting for those results. I also cleaned the canister prefilter and changed the fuel filter. The price of the fuel filter from NAPA has tripled in 2 years!

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Disconnected my analog gauges. My display now has the digital readout for temp and fuel.

Should I roll off the Throttle when upshifting, or maintain the position? What are the best RPM's?

I'm a blimper and do it both ways. The most important thing with shifting, is to engage the paddles as quickly as possible. The only time I get any hesitation is when I get lazy and hold them too long.

Comparing how we ride our Spyders - what does your trip meter say??

Along with nozzle flow rates the orientation of the bike at the pump makes a big difference also. You will always get more in if the nose is higher and the left side is higher also. I just checked my July numbers with 9 fill-ups and the worst was 33.06 MPG and the best was 45.26 MPG (only 1.9...

Can I spin balance with Ride On installed? What’s proper F3 belt tension?

The original owner of my bike had a shake and they found that at least one of the OEM Kendas on the front were out of round. They replaced them under warranty for him. Never had a problem with Ride-on and use it both fronts and rear.

Comparing how we ride our Spyders - what does your trip meter say??

Trip A is for mileage on current tank and Trip B is reset at the beginning of each month. MPG is computed each month with actual miles driven and fuel used. Overall, 75939 miles ridden and 2012.1 gallons used. 37.74 MPG.
