• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Fuel Gauge Quit, still shows Empty after filling - any ideas what's happened?

Try the "Peter" thing first but if your extended warranty has expired just reset your trip odo every time you get gas and get gas at 180 miles and I venture to guess you will never run out of gas. I say this because checking mine and my fill-up records with over .5 left in the tank mine was...

This was Too Close to an 'accident'!

Whoa, that was scary! When driving the car, I have found when passing, I got surprised a few times after checking the side mirrors that I was indeed pulling out in front of a passing vehicle. The blind spot thing. In the name of defensive driving when in that kind of traffic, when on the bike, I...

Blackstone Results for Amsoil 5W40 Metric Oil in my 2022 RT S2S

When you say better friction reduction do you mean flowability?

Blackstone Results for Amsoil 5W40 Metric Oil in my 2022 RT S2S

The spread between the low number to the high number is a thing. I do a lot of cold weather riding and use the 10W-40 Amsoil. I just baby it until the temp gauge gets to operating temperature, then have at it. I would do the same with 5W-40. Troop may be over-servicing the K&N as a layer of dirt...

Coolant leak on 2016 RTL - screw type hose clamp on thermostat housing loose!

I was surprised about the screw clamp myself, but I know that wasn't one that I had replaced before. The bike only had 4,722 miles on it when I got it so I really think it was put together that way.

3 wheeler crash on the Dragon - was it a Spyder?

If jzeiler is correct about the heart attack, I would say that was the major contributor. Probably take your mind off what you are doing.

Coolant leak on 2016 RTL - screw type hose clamp on thermostat housing loose!

My bike started losing coolant with no indication where and no pooling under where it was being parked. Rate was averaging about 10 oz/2000 miles. I first replaced the cap and it still remained. Took some panels off and found a screw type hose clamp that I snugged up. Checked today after approx...

    It's finally really mine.

They sure are pretty! I run the Vred 175 also and they are fantastic! My next upgrade if I can get Mama talked into it will be performance front shocks.

    It's finally really mine.

What are the benefits and features of the PPA ORB wheels? My bike has the same wheels as what is on your new one. They are a PITA to get and keep clean!

No longer regret buying this ride! Now my 2015 RT-S Performance is Excellent!

9600 miles on an 11 year old bike means it sat a lot. Probably gummed up the injectors real good. Were you able to clean them or did you replace them? I run some injector cleaner often in mine.

Front end shaking around 55 mph - anyone else have this issue?

I would also look at tire balance issue. Mine did the same thing when I replaced the fronts and used Ride-on to balance. First time out did this for about .25 miles but came out of it and now smooth as silk.

Does this Ultra Plus Full Synthetic 10W40 oil work for our Spyders?

We all should be having our oil analyzed more often. Much like going to our doctors for our yearly check ups. They caught my problem with routine tests when I did not have any symptoms. Years ago I had my oil analyzed when I was using the recommended oil change kits from BRP which showed the...

Thoughts on my first SS1000 with the Spyder

Yeah, these things are not very aerodynamic. When I did my SS1000, I got 38.25mpg but I stayed at the speed limit for the most part all the way. My route was due west for approx 650 miles and I got 36.40mpg with a somewhat brisk side wind. When I turned north for the remaining 350 miles I got...

What is this head sensor for - oil, coolant, head temp? Any ideas/help?

What does the manual call part 36? Just went to can-am parts house and 36 is indeed your temperature sensor. That should only monitor coolant temperature.

What is this head sensor for - oil, coolant, head temp? Any ideas/help?

Why don't you disconnect it and see what no longer gets monitored? From the picture, it looks like a coolant temperature sensor. If so, I suspect your valve cover gasket is seeping oil and some is collecting on the sensor.
