• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Anyone had over-heating issues after fitting Front Grills? Any issues with ShowChrome Trunk Replacement Shock?

As far as the grill covers go, when I saw how plugged the radiators were with bugs after only 10,000 miles (spent the better part of half a day blowing and picking them out) I covered mine with the finest SS screen I could buy ( think the weave was 24/in). Cut it to fit in front of the OEM ones...

    Conventional vs Reverse Trike Discussion

Mine will drift if I pull away from a side road and crank it hard while I give it some throttle. When the back comes back in line with the front it hooks back up and I am off. Don't know what it looks like, but it's a lot of fun and you get a lot of stares.

Play in the power steering, is it fixable?

I checked the part # for mine and it has a different #. It is 709401411. Are these any beefer or should I expect to be changing mine soon? She does have a fair amount of miles on her.

Anyone else notice the number of low mileage used Spyders on Marketplace? Any ideas why?

Extreme low mileage on an older machine is a red flag for me. If they don't ride it, they probably know nothing about long term storage. I know it matters what part of the country we are talking about, but around here with our wild early and late Winter temperature swings, moisture invades...

What did you do to/with your Spyder today?

No complains about performance. I'll give it a try and try to remember to pack more underwear then.

What did you do to/with your Spyder today?

I use ECO mode but disregard the shift points. It will prompt me to shift up when I am cruising in 5th - you got 1 more gear, dummy!

What did you do to/with your Spyder today?

According to my owner's manual the rev limiter kicks in at 8100 RPM. If you left it in 4th gear hopefully your rev limiter took over. For max acceleration I shift up at around 5,500 RPM.

    My 2014 ST SM5 Project

Thank you for rescuing this bike. Smart to reset the clock on these maintenance items. Check the tires as many would say they have aged out. Do yourself a favor and put a set of non-Kenda tires on.

Your Weather News @ August 2026

Woke up this morning with dew point reading in upper 50's which is rare these days in this part of the country. Highs today predicted in mid 80's so feels like (heat index) only a degree more than actual. Definitely will enjoy today's ride.

    Spyder Sightings

Tuesday while riding in MO and stopped to eat, a lady came over and asked where I got my "Never underestimate an old man with a Can-Am Spyder" tee-shirt. She said they rode a 2026 S-S and it was in the parking lot. They were from MN. I spoke briefly with her husband and asked if he had ever run...

Fitted new EBC pads, now I have a Brake noise - anyone else? Any fixes?

Most importantly, how does she stop? Mine has a swishing noise on my right front, but the last time I was practicing my emergency stopping, she stopped well and straight. I have the EBC pads and stock rotors. I did not cut the slots in the pads like the instructions suggested.

Totally bonkers 'Miles to empty' on 2020+ Spyder - can it be fixed?

The high is 34.58 mpg and low is 33.25 MPG which tells me you are getting your fill levels pretty consistent. The overall is 34.01 MPG. If this is a mixture of city and cruising, I would be ok but if mostly cruising I personally would be disappointed.

My F3S tire is showing wear after only 2000 miles.

Good point Ron on the WHICH tires that they carry. The reverse trikes are more prone to aquaplaning because you have one tire pushing the two fronts. The rear can get quite squirrelly! One of the reasons directional tires were designed was their superior anti aquaplaning abilities. I have been...

My F3S tire is showing wear after only 2000 miles.

I'm surprised your tires are aging out, as I see you just surpassed 100k on your bike! Nothing on mine ever ages out.
