• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Anyone else had an Oil Leakage Issue like this? - UPDATE

Got my ride back last night. When I picked her up they told me that the tech noticed a small amount of coolant coming out of the water pump when the motor was out, so they replaced my water pump also. So a future problem avoided there. Just for the heck of it I asked what this would have cost...

Anyone else had an Oil Leakage Issue like this? - UPDATE

I wouldn't be surprised if they would authorize this kind of repair on an aero engine. From the report I read on the repair, a lot of research went into this before they authorized it as the repair. They didn't split the case and do the inside. The patch is just on the outside. The printout...

Anyone else had an Oil Leakage Issue like this? - UPDATE

I just got back from my dealer. They're waiting on a exhaust gasket to reinstall my motor. I talked to the service mgr and the tech who is working on it. I was showed my motor and where the repairs were done. They told me that this repair is direct from Rotax, and it comes with a 10 year...

Anyone else had an Oil Leakage Issue like this? - UPDATE

That was a concern I brought up when they were telling me about this "Fix". My exact reply was what happens if in a year or two it starts to leak again and is no longer under the warranty. That's when he replied about it being on my service record. Yes I mentioned this to my wife just the...

Anyone else had an Oil Leakage Issue like this? - UPDATE

I agree. Originally when they were still trying to pinpoint the leak, the service Mgr was telling me that a new motor might be one of the options, if it was leaking through the case. Fast forward to now, and BRP is instructing them to do this fix. I will be keeping a very close eye on this after...

Anyone else had an Oil Leakage Issue like this? - UPDATE

They found that it is leaking through the aluminum case. The Service Mgr informed me that BRP has a repair for this. He printed out the procedure and let me read it. It involves taking out the motor and partially disassembling it. Then they "clean" the area (both sides, inside and out, which...

Too hot to ride, or maybe I’m just getting old

I'm 70 and I've been riding since I was 13. When I was younger, I don't remember the heat bothering me as much as it does now. I'm talking about temps in the triple digits. I live in the Central Valley of Calif. so we get those temps regularly in the summer months.

Is my Air bag leveling? Any way to make it more noticeable when adjusting the ride height?

I don't hear it working, but I do notice that when I stop at a red light and have to sit for a bit, I feel the back release some air and the rear lowers just little. It's so slight that the wife doesn't notice it (I asked her).

Anyone else had an Oil Leakage Issue like this? - UPDATE

When I was talking to the Service Mgr, he showed me a picture they took. It was of the spot of the original fix they did (engine oil galley plug). The casing around it was all discolored and had oil residue on it. They think that's the spot it's seeping through. The Dye should eventually...

My favorite little sandwich/coffee shop in Markleville has Closed???

I was just there about a month ago. I live in Modesto, so my route is usually over Sonora Pass to Walker. Then Monitor/Kit Carson Pass to Jackson, then home. Another option to come home is Monitor to Ebbits to Murphy's then home.

Anyone else had an Oil Leakage Issue like this? - UPDATE

After I got back from the rides we went on in May/June, I looked to see if I still was having an issue. First thing I noticed (which really isn't that big of a deal) is that they didn't replace the Plastic access cover on that side (where you drain the oil for an oil change). Which also made me...

My favorite little sandwich/coffee shop in Markleville has Closed???

I have heard of the place you are talking about. And that they were a really good Deli. Every time I have been through Markleville, they're usually are always a bunch of bikes lined up there. I have often thought I need to check them out. Thing is that usually we have already stopped for lunch...

Cat delete, is it worth the money

I finally did a cat delete earlier this year and kept the stock muffler. I never was happy on the stock sound (sounded too much like riding a sewing machine). It really surprised me on the difference. It's not obnoxiously loud , but added some bass to the sound.

Recommend any Can Am mechanics in the Bay area CA?

There is Richard Kuwitzky that lives in Tracy. He is not a member of this forum so the only way to contact him is to msg him through Facebook. He is the go to guy that the Spyder Ryder of America - Sacramento Chapter uses for basic maintenance. He charges about half of what the dealer would...

Anyone else had an Oil Leakage Issue like this? - UPDATE

Got my ride back yesterday (Thursday). The Service manager told me that when they took the starter off to replace the O-rings that there was a lot of oil around it. He said that If this didn't fix it I have a much bigger problem, possibly a cracked case. I have a small ride planned for this...
