• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Pedal Box causing Code P2135 - anyone else had issues? Any ideas?

Last week when I was heading to have Pizza with the grand kids (which is in a town about 20 miles from home), my Spyder kicked into Limp mode and the Check Engine Light started to flash, but it was still running fine. I made it to the the pizza parlor and checked to see what the code was...

Will changing out the front shocks help prevent lifting one front wheel in tight corners?

We do this already, I've been riding for over 50 years. Started in the dirt, then graduated to street bikes in my 20's. I've been a Sport Turing rider for quite a few years (I have a 08 FJR). I had to switch to 3 wheels because of Arthritis in my hips, making it very uncomfortable to ride. I...

Will changing out the front shocks help prevent lifting one front wheel in tight corners?

When I purchased my '22 RTL, I had the sway bar replaced with the Baja Ron Sway bar. Other than that, the Suspension is all factory. I have noticed that now that I am more comfortable in my handling in corners. I am even starting to lift one of the front wheels off the ground in some of the...

Is Plexus, the plastic cleaner/protector, available anywhere besides the manufacturer?

Plexus is good but expensive. I use Original Bike Spirits Cleaner and Polish. I've been using it for years. does the same ting as Plexus, but it's a lot cheaper.

I tried to install the BRP drivers backrest...

That is the same one I installed. I had just purchased my RTL and I think the hardest part was figuring out how the rear seat came off. I didn't want to "force" anything.

I tried to install the BRP drivers backrest...

I have a '22 RTL, and got the BRP factory backrest when I purchased it, which I installed myself. It was fairly easy to do. Remove both seats and install the bracket that bolts under the back of the front seat. Put the seats back on and slide the backrest into place. I found the hardest part was...

My 2020 RT-L is throwing a VSS Code on starting - could this be a weak Battery?

Quick answer is YES!!! The newer Spyders are shipped with Weak batteries. You need a 350 cca battery, they ship with a 300 cca battery. I was getting the VSS code from day one. Don't wait or hesitate, go and replace it. You will be glad you did. My thread on the subject...

Any feedback on aftermarket seats - Ultimate vs Corbin?

In my opinion, I'd find a place that would do a ride in and have a custom seat made. I live about 2 hours from Corbin and have had them make seats for the last 4 bikes I have owned. The biggest secret is to do as I mentioned and do a ride in and have the seat made custom while you wait. Buying...

An Embarrasing but funny story I have to share...

That's how I turn off my Spyder. First thing is hit the Kill switch, then turn the key off. Then on Start up First thing is turn on the Kill switch then the key. Ive made a habit of this. with every bike I have owned. My biggest issue with the Spyder has been remembering having to hit the "mode"...

    Passenger fell asleep!

My wife has been falling asleep on the back of my bikes for years. Luckily for her I have always had a backrest for her so she has never fallen off. She says she gets comfortable and cant help it when we are on long rides. It mostly happens on what she says is the more boring parts (Freeway...
