• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Can I add heated rear grips to my 2015 RT?

Yes. You can add heated grips. Oxford makes what is considered the best aftermarket grips available. https://www.oxfordhotgrips.com/

Spyder vs Gold Wing Reverse Trike - anyone have experience?

As far as I know Honda never made a reverse trike of any variety, so what you're looking at is a kit installed onto a Gold Wing. So, you have the variability of who made the kit and who did the installation. The devil is always in the details. Then after and assuming it's done well and...

Large Power Sport Dealer ditches Spyders

I agree about the Canyon. My dealer has had a fully loaded Canyon on the floor since it came out with zero interest. It's sticker prices at $35k, which IMO is too high. He's willing to let it go for super deep discounts, but still no interest. The Canyon is neither fish nor fowl. It's not...

Large Power Sport Dealer ditches Spyders

They physically can service them, but as I understand it, BRP will no longer supply support or parts. And, if under warranty, they won't cover any of the costs. Also, as I understand it, BRP can some how penalize dealers who don't do everything their way, so if they hope to keep Seadoo and...

Large Power Sport Dealer ditches Spyders

The only Spyder dealer in Central California, Fred Cummings Motorsports, is also dropping the Spyder line and may be discontinuing the entire BRP range of machines. The general manager said he can no longer sell Spyders due to lack of interest. He also said tariffs seem to be playing a role...

Does this Ultra Plus Full Synthetic 10W40 oil work for our Spyders?

The MA2 spec is specifically designed for use with catalytic converters, which most motorcycle did not have until recently.

Ever mount a longer strut under the seat?

I thought about doing just that, but instead, I just went with the stronger aftermarket strut of the same size. I think it would work, but you just have to make sure of the length and the strength of compression. You can't go too much stronger because of the flimsy plastic seat pan.

Any idea why my Rear Shock Bolt bends in the middle?

The stock BRP shock bolt is known to be weak and is suspected to be made of material that is not quite up the advertised hardness. There were numerous threads in years gone by about it. At the time, many people just replaced it with an aftermarket bolt of superior quality.

Spyder RT with a Goldwing Engine (Not AI)

I don't know anything more than the video, but it seems to me the easier way would have been to graft the Spyder front end onto the Goldwing back end and just graft the pitch and yaw sensors onto the Honda.

Has anyone found a USB that will fit the extra slot on '24 RT's console?

I couldn't find one either. I just took the blanking plug and cored it out to fit the smaller plug. It worked just fine. Not was I was looking for, but it's worked well for years now.

Forever mystified by Can Am's lack of style...

I'm sure that Can Am has done some kind of market research and found that RT buyers are older and more conservative in their tastes, so therefore it limits their color choices. It's all about cost/benefits analysis formulas.

Pre 2020 RT owners - can you stand up while riding?

You should watch a modern supercross or motocross race or other off road 2 wheeled racing. They spend most of their time standing, including high speed jumps and bowl turns, etc. It's amazing to watch. ;) Anyway, to the OP, you might look for a base model RT, which came with pegs and not...

I'm going a different route on my next set of front tires - trying these IOTA EVT (Standard's) instead!

I believe these are standard tires. Per the website, the Iota EVT E silent is the EV rated tire. I would assume the "EVT" moniker is just marketing. The rating as posted by Troop of UTQG 320AA is actually a fairly soft tire with a decent rating. The 320AA rating is in the range that I believe...

Has this Clutch Late Lockup always been there???

What you're describing sounds fairly normal for the newer bikes. My 2020 is more prominent than my old 2014 for whatever reason(s). I suspect it has to do with engine management tuning, since the newer bikes have to meet ever more restrictive smog standards.

I like it. Thanks for pioneering another tire alternative. (y)
