• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Spyder Sightings

At first when I saw it coming at me all I saw was the outline. I'm thinking Spyder for obvious reasons. When it got closer, obviously it wasn't but I thought it was kinda funny. It's crazy how some riders will buy anything from the marketing company just because of the name.

    Spyder Sightings

I saw a Spyder today near Orrville, Oh. Oh wait, no it was a Harley trike. Never mind then.😁

Looking for Navigation options besides ACP - What do you recommend?

Get a Beeline. I've not tried one yet but plan to. Look up Beeline.

Does my Spyder have a bell? Is it to warn of changing gears?

It's an attempt to ward off evil people in cars so they won't run over you. Yes really! I think this practice started with harley riders and yes in my opinion is ridiculous. After riding for 57 years when I see these things hanging from a bike I know the owner doesn't take riding seriously enough.

My F3S tire is showing wear after only 2000 miles.

Not intentional burnouts but yea I like fast starts so it squeals once in a while. They are new replacements. After reading the comments I think I'm looking at the large tread reinforcing blocks not the wear indicators. I'm probably worried about nothing.

    Spyder Sightings

I saw a Spyder on RT 93, just out side of Massillon, OH yesterday. It was a touring model.

Thanks for the info. Will dealers mount car tires to a Spyder?

My F3S tire is showing wear after only 2000 miles.

I noticed the center wear bars on the rear tire are awful close to the center tread depth. Only 2000 miles on the tire too. It's a Kenda that the dealer installed. I've been keeping the pressure at the owners manual recommended range. Normal?

Should I roll off the Throttle when upshifting, or maintain the position? What are the best RPM's?

I rev mine to 7000 regularly. It's still pulling at that rpm, peak horsepower is just over 7000 so it's pulling much past 5000 rpm. As has been mentioned you ain't gonna hurt it. It's not a cruiser engine although you can creep around at under 3000.

    Review: Elka Stage 2's on 2015 F3 S

I was sent an email from Elka that recommended 1.25 to 1.75 sag. This from a different person. What the heck? That sounds more reasonable. I always heard 1/3 of total suspension travel for sag. Glad I didn't adjust it yet.

    Review: Elka Stage 2's on 2015 F3 S

I just got the same rear shock as @adipaola for my 15 F3S, and it's while better than stock, it's not as good as I would like. I need mine for comfort as well, due to low back issues. I asked Elka what to do, and they say 7/8 sag with rebound at 14. I need to adjust the sag I'm sure, as it was...

Too hot to ride, or maybe I’m just getting old

It's entirely up to you how you dress but I don't see how the Spyder is safer than a bike. You're just as exposed to the elements, pavement, front bumpers, etc. I had a single vehicle crash on a Z900 3 years ago going 45 mph. I woke up in someone's yard with my helmet next to me. I have no idea...
