• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Having a blast, but have you noticed these Spyders Take an Effort To Ride?!

I agree. Although I never rode until I turned 60, my buddy rode for more than 40 yrs. In 2012 we purchased our first RTLs and began, for me, a whole new adventure. When we stopped and someone would ask about the Spyders, he always answered great riding but he has to "muscle" through the curves...

    Goodbye

I, too, find this forum to be the best to find information on our rides. When I see questions on FB are not answered properly, I refer them to Spyderlovers.com the granddaddy of Spyder information.

Has anyone removed their Seat locking post?

I removed the post on my 2014 RTL and rode it for 50K+ miles with no issues. Haven't had to remove it with my 2012 or 2022.

Getting a Vibration through the seat - anyone offer a seat cushion to offset? Any tips/hints?

S So, what happened to answering the OP's question? I don't have a vibration issue nor do I use a seat cushion, but I was interested in any answers about seat cushions.

Anyone tried to Waterproof an Ultimate Seat? Anything work?

I wouldn't do it since the seat is designed for ventilation and not rain proofing. I would think that rain proofing the Ultimate seat will eliminate the ability for it to let the air to flow through the material, cause the seat to be much hotter, cause the seat material to deteriorate much...

Does anyone have actual measured data for the various OEM Handlebar options Pull back on 2024+ RT's?

I'm 5'9" and broke my right elbow causing my right arm to be about 2" shorter. My solution on my "22 RTL is the Can Am short reach bar, the handlebar riser from Lamonster and pushing the handlebar forward to a more upright position. This enables my right arm to stretch out more which compensates...

How do I go to a higher speed on Cruise control?

On my '22 to resume I hold the button "up" to increase speed I either hold the button "up" until I reach the higher speed or hold it "up" several times for a single mph of kph increase.

Spyderlovers is the best forum I've ever seen!

I agree. Facebook has taken many potential members. Spyderlovers is the granddaddy of all things Spyder. Much easier to search for things and when I leave Spyderlovers, I can easily return to the site and find where I left off. On FB I have to save the conversation to get it quickly or I may...

I need to find an alternative to the dealership for routine maintenance

I feel your pain, brother. I can’t do my own maintenance anymore either. My 2022 RTL (bought 4/23) has only needed a few oil changes. In 2024 I needed brakes - $256 at a non‑dealer. In 2025 I needed a rear tire - $345.56 at the dealer. The dealer I used for years stopped selling Spyders, so no...

Can I mount an iPhone on the handlebars of a 2020 up to 2023 RT and play music from it over the Spyder's sound system?

You can definitely install your iPhone on the handlebars. On my '22 RT, I use the quadlock system with the wireless charge head (eliminates USB connection) mounted with Lamonsters Spyder cuff and ram mounts. As far as using a USB for playing music, I guess you can do what I do. I have an old...
