• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Open Trailers for towing Spyders - what's the best suspension type? Experience, opinions, or are we just over-thinking this?

I currently have the Stinger Trailer and have no issues with my Spyder handling the suspension.

Where is the AM/FM Radio Antenna on a 2026 RT?

I have ridden RTL's since 2012, none have had AM and the FM has been poor at best. The best setup I had was on my '12 and '14 RT's. I had SiriusXM radio installed on both rides by the dealer as part of my purchase. It was connected to the trike by the "entertainment cable", controlled by the...

Any Mounting bracket and switched power tips for mounting a Garmin Zumo XT2 GPS?

On my '22 RTL, I mounted it between the handlebars. I used the Lamonster F3 and 2020+ GPS Mount. I had to change the small mount bracket on the Lamonster Mount to the bracket included in the XT2 to allow for power connection to the back of the XT2. I dropped the power line to the accessory...

Any takers to Car wash your Spyder?

I am sure the car wash owners will not let you go through the wash. You will not be protected with just a rain suit. How will you handle the rollers, slapping strips, pressurized water, etc. But, if you decide to do it and are allowed to please, please record it for posterity.

How Many Ride an RT Limited After The 5 years Of BRP Warranty Has Expired?

I rode my 2014 RTL till 2023 when I purchased a leftover 2022 RTL. I had 2 concerns when I purchased the '22. First, I have no place to work on my ride, so am dependent on using a dealer, Second, it was coming up on being 10 yrs. old, an age when fewer dealers will work on it. So, a new one it...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

I installed the INNOV Blind Spot Detection System (BDS). Works great and increases my safety.

Pre 2020 RT owners - can you stand up while riding?

I have a '22 RTL and if I want to stand up while riding I could. When I do stand up, I am completely stopped.

Anyone had any luck using a Non-OEM Trailer for a 2020 RT Limited?

Peter: BRP no longer sell trailers to tow by Spyders. It discontinued the Freedom Trailer in 2018 or 2019. Unfortunately, I checked the 2020 and 2026 Operator Manuals which still contain the warning about using a non-BRP trailer. Although BRP does mention a BRP approved equivalent can be used, I...

Can Am Spyders Resale value isn't great...

    I have a similar experience, but with purchasing new RTL's 2012 RTL purchased 7/2012 @ $26,499 - no trade-in 2014 RTL purchased (new) 3/2015 @ $24,715 - Trade-in 2012 @ $14,000 (20K miles - 2 yrs. old) 2022 RTL purchased (new) 4/2023 @ 26,497 - Trade-in 2014 @ $9,500 (60K miles - 8 yrs. old) I...

Anyone installed a Sirius XM radio receiver on their RT? Any hints?

As Racoon did, I researched your claim. I did this because when I ride in upstate NY, I frequently lose cell reception, so no GPS, no XM radio, etc. My cell phone is rendered useless. I found that there are only 6 phones that switch to satellite signals (iPhones 14, 15, 16, 16W series, Google...

Is it possible that BRP Corporate records on the Sprocket Recall have not been updated?

$15K for a 2017 is overpriced. I found these at Team Mancuso Powersports at 9650 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77037, about a half-hour from you. Both are 2022's and in the $15k range. I am sure if you search you'll find similar priced newer F3's. Good Luck -

Does anyone have any OEM Part #'s for trailer harnesses? Or know of an A/mkt shop to order from?

I converted my 2014 BRP connection (it was the round connection) to a 4 pin. This is the color-coded wiring attached to the hitch cable. Hope it helps.

Anyone know of a Seat protector for 2024 Sea to Sky to prevent scratches, but still allow heat?

I don't use a seat protector, but has he tried stepping on the passenger footrest than stepping over the seat? It gives you a few more inches of height. I get on my ride on the left side, putting my left leg on the passenger footrest, then raising my right leg over the seat.

Probably a stupid idea - thinking I might go from a 2018 F3 Ltd to an RTL S2S - am I crazy and should just keep what I have?

I don't think it's a stupid idea. Why not treat yourself to the newest? I did that in 2023, trading my 2014 RTL with 60K+ miles for a leftover 2022 RTL. Instead of installing additional lights, trailer hitch, etc. I had the dealer do it all at once. I have since installed wiring for heated gear...
