• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Has anyone modified the brake pedal to make it easier to use?

2dogs, You are correct about the wider brake pedal taking up more space on the floorboard. Another problem with it is that a few times I have not taken my foot off the brake. I found the problem relatively quickly. I have done the same on two-wheel motorcycles, perhaps because of my neuropathy...

Has anyone modified the brake pedal to make it easier to use?

I have the same problem, fortunately mostly with my left foot at this time. I put the wider brake pedal on and it really helped a lot. I believe the cost for a handbrake is about $1400 uninstalled.

Just wanted to share the unbridled joy and ease of riding the Spyder!

I too am riding a Spyder due to multiple medical issues. I had been riding two wheel motorcycles for 62 years, when I was hit with neuropathy, broken hip, replacement knee, and other problems. I went without riding for about a year and that's all I could take. So I bought the Spyder and I've...

Just wanted to share a riding story - hitting a swarm of yellow jackets!

I can't imagine riding through a swam of yellow jackets. However, on a cross country ride years ago, we stopped at Craters of the Moon National Monument and were soon inundated with some kind of flies. We didn't hang around long, and continued riding West. In a very few miles the windshield on...

Will Using 87 Octane impact performance?

How hard did you hit the throttle when you took off? I've been running 87 octane since I got the bike and now I have ridden about 1200 miles. I detected a slight knock when I pulled out from a stop sign while accelerating harder than usual. I'm very careful about lugging the engine and keeping...

Display slow to change from night to day - is this common? Where is the sensor that triggers the change?

I backed the Spyder out of the garage into the sun and the display didn't change. I noticed the display was dusty, so I wiped it with my finger and within a minute or so, it changed to the daylight setting.

Display slow to change from night to day - is this common? Where is the sensor that triggers the change?

Here is something I found on Google that didn't entirely answer my questions. Changing the Display Mode On the main display, navigate to the Home screen. Select Settings (the gear icon). Choose Display from the settings menu. Select Mode and then choose your preferred light setting. If the...

Display slow to change from night to day - is this common? Where is the sensor that triggers the change?

Today I rode about 35 miles in the bright sunlight with very little shade and my display did not change from the dark mode to the light mode. Is that a common occurrence? Where is the sensor that triggers the change in the display?

    Wrapped my 2021 RT Limited

What advantage of that bright red Spyder is that it will be eye-catching, compared to the Petrol Metallic that I have.

What can I do with my iPhone connected to the Spyder through the BRP Go app?

reyeade, Thanks for the information. That's a very interesting device. I'm not sure that I need to use navigation for most of my writing, but certainly for riding out of the area. It would be very useful. And much more useful than the phone only.

My first really, really close call on the Spyder

I am a relatively new Spyder rider, having owned one for just over a month. I've ridden motorcycles for 62 years and when I begin riding the Spyder, I was very concerned (and still am) about vehicles pulling in front of me from side streets and driveways, and so forth. With the motorcycle, I had...

Can anyone post a pic of the Seat Latch Lug on a 2022 Spyder RT?

Is that "lug" the same as the two securing the frunk on the RTL?

Doing some Toy Hauler Research - Anyone have any info or experience with these?

I had a toy hauler, pull behind type hitch. We didn't keep it very long because we found that it was not comfortable to spend time in it since it didn't have the amenities that our previous motorhome had. As was mentioned, the ramp was quite steep and I damaged the coolant overflow tank on my...

87 Octane seems to work just fine

I have owned my 2023 Spyder RTL for about a month and I've ridden it 1000 miles over country roads, in the city, and on the highway. I use 87 octane fuel and my average miles per gallon has been 39.5 (actual MPG not indicated MPG on the bike's computer). I'm very happy with the mileage, it's...
