• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Here's my Strobe light controller for the trunk brake light.

All of my motorcycles and most of my four wheel vehicles, including my motorhome, have/had strobing brake lights. So naturally I wanted to equip my 2023 RTL with a flashing brake light on the tail trunk. I purchased two brake light flashers for $5.99 at Amazon...

I built support blocks to raise the Spyder for oil changes etc.

When doing my first oil change, I lifted the Spyder with an aluminum craftsman motorcycle/ATV lift. The Spyder is quite a bit heavier than the motorcycles I've lifted with it, but it picked it up fine. I used concrete blocks under the three wheels, so the jack could be pulled out to access the...

Does anyone have a Wiring Schematic for a 2023 RTL?

John, Thanks for the wiring schematic. I appreciate your help.

Does anyone have a Wiring Schematic for a 2023 RTL?

John, Where did you get the manual? Can you tell me the color of the + wire feeding the brake light on the travel trunk? Thank you.

Does anyone have a Wiring Schematic for a 2023 RTL?

The manual was provided for about $25 from Midwest Manuals. I wouldn't recommend it because, though it's for a 2023 RT, it is not up-to-date and there are errors. I haven't figured out how to use the table of contents to go directly to the page or section I want, other than scrolling through a...

Does anyone have a Wiring Schematic for a 2023 RTL?

I would like a schematic of the electrical system on my RTL. I purchased the PDF manual for my year and model, but all I can find are diagrams for the multitude of cable assemblies; no information on the wires within them.

Put an ISCI Hand brake on my RTL - works very well.

I suppose the handbrake would work fine when scrubbing off a little speed before and on curves. Can you explain where and how you use the brake? I sure would like something on that right handlebar to grab.

Battery/Starting slow spin - is this common & why doesn't it start like a normal motorcycle?

Probably none of them except for the Harley Sportster, which required high test leaded fuel. However, a 12.2 compression ratio is not a good excuse for having something that is reluctant to turn over quickly. A larger battery, larger gauge battery cables, and a more efficient starter might do...

Battery/Starting slow spin - is this common & why doesn't it start like a normal motorcycle?

I have had at least 20 motorcycles over the last 62 years. All of them were common, traditional, one through six cylinders. Of course some had only kick starters, but the majority had electric starters. None of them hesitated when the start button was pushed. But the Spyder doesn't appear to me...

Interesting conversation at the gas pump - asked why I chose to ride a Spyder rather than 'a real motorcycle'?!

I don't think a scoot or a scooter is a bad name for the trike. It's a whole lot better than the name "murdercycle" when referring to a motorcycle.

I've gone from ATGATT to H (just Helmet).

I've been riding motorcycles for 62 years and have recently switched to a Spyder. I only wear ATGATT in bad weather/cold weather. Years ago, I crossed the country and back in shorts and a T-shirt, and much of the ride was without a helmet. I have burns on my right calf to show for my lack of...

Has anyone modified the brake pedal to make it easier to use?

2dogs, You are correct about the wider brake pedal taking up more space on the floorboard. Another problem with it is that a few times I have not taken my foot off the brake. I found the problem relatively quickly. I have done the same on two-wheel motorcycles, perhaps because of my neuropathy...

Has anyone modified the brake pedal to make it easier to use?

I have the same problem, fortunately mostly with my left foot at this time. I put the wider brake pedal on and it really helped a lot. I believe the cost for a handbrake is about $1400 uninstalled.

Just wanted to share the unbridled joy and ease of riding the Spyder!

I too am riding a Spyder due to multiple medical issues. I had been riding two wheel motorcycles for 62 years, when I was hit with neuropathy, broken hip, replacement knee, and other problems. I went without riding for about a year and that's all I could take. So I bought the Spyder and I've...
