• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Need help with Gasket Identification for the Starter cover - any ideas?

If you have the old one you can make a new one out of gasket material. Or you may have to use a liquid casket material, which you can get from most auto suppliers. I have used this on many older motors where you cannot find a gasket.

Pulsating lights - anyone else had this problem and what was the cure?

If the light is staying on when not moving it may be a loose connection in the lamp socket or a loose ground. If you have a tester you can track it down, but you will need to go through the circuit to the light to find out.

Compile a list of BUDS owners who are willing to help, by location?

Milage sometimes does not make a difference. If you are not using a high grade gas or your bike is sitting too much, it can come down to your fuel injectors, which may be fouling (try a good type of fuel injector cleaner and see if that helps), or your spark plugs may have fouled and need to be...

Where do you get the fillable map that you can add to your signature line.

I see that lots of people have the fillable maps that they use on their signature line? I used to have one but cannot find it anywhere. Thanks in advance

Complete Newbie Experiences - 2021 RT Limited

Everyone goes through this when they first ride a Spyder. I have ridden two wheels for 60 years and when I got on the Spyder I felt the same way you did. It took me about 100 klm to get used to it. I have found that if you relax, don't fight it, and lean a little into the curve works really...

Bad Day at Black Rock - Anyone had any experiences with the Tow part of their Warranty?

I always figured that even if you have a dealer tow, I also have a CAA or AAA membership. I had to get a tow to the dealership after my Ltd did not function properly, called CAA, they showed up in less than 30 minutes, and towed it to my dealership which is 27 miles away. No charge, no fuss.

2014 Spyder RT Ltd missing at just above an idle - any recommendations, other than spark plugs?

I had the same problem with misfiring, running terrible, etc. and this happened at 60,000 klm. I could not drive it as it shook so much. I had it transported to the dealer and everyone I spoke to in the service department and a friend of mine who is a mechanic all said to change the plugs. I...

If I were to Buy an ST, what OEM parts should I get up front in case BRP stops making them?

I had a 2012 RSS which I went to because of my leg and back, it had floor boards that made a slight improvement as you could move your feet around, but any time you had to use a brake or gears you still would have to move to the pegs to do anything. I did put 245,000 klm on it, but lost the use...

Is anyone out there Ryding with a Pacemaker?

I have had a pacemaker for 6 years now. The list they give when it is installed is enormous, but the main thing to avoid doing is to not lean over the motor while it's running. As long as you are 12 inches away from it, you should have no problem. Your cell phone is a bigger issue - don't put it...

Can an RS be made a comfortable cruiser for 2

I had a 2012 RSS, and yes, they do bounce more that the Ltd. I found the "Ultimate seat" which is manufactured in Ontario, Canada, (half the price you would buy the same seat for in the US) is very comfortable and I added the drivers backrest as well. I bought a top box for about $100 Canadian...

Anyone else got a Pool of Water in the Frunk? Any fixes?

I had the same issue as when I bought the bike. The liner was mouldy, so I took the liner out and re-laid the gasket; and since, the dealer has checked it over and I drove a little in the rain and it did not leak. I bet you guys were right on with the covers. I will double check in the Spring.

While away from the group for a while, I spent the last three years in and out of hospital with Sepsis, heart failure, and using a walker to get around. I had knee replaced other one next year. Could not ride my RSS as left leg was useless and could not operate gears. so after I went out and...
