• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

After 3 years of planning, I am riding Route 66 starting June 8

Riding it during the centennial anniversary year should make it a little more special. Enjoy!

Wind Rider Seat Cover - Anyone have one? Any feedback?

Side question, if I may: Since the primary goal of these covers is to provide airflow and keep your butt cool, would I be correct in assuming that it renders the heated seat useless? So far, I've stayed away from these solutions since I have too many days on the road where I enjoy the heated...

    I got another New Helmet!

Looks like you've got some rather warm (ok, so it's going to be hot depending on where you are) weather in SoCal. Based on past experience, I'd say get out and ride. Years ago, I purchased a new helmet a few weeks ahead of a 3 week trip. Wore it on my daily commute (20-30 mins each way) for a...

Bad Day at Black Rock - Anyone had any experiences with the Tow part of their Warranty?

I've had one occasion to call BRP for a tow. Fortunately I was still in the metro area so they were able to provide a flatbed tow back to my dealer.

Prepping for the ultimate riding season - have I missed anything?

If you've got time while you're around the Beartooth Hwy, see if you can fit in Chief Joseph Hwy (Hwy 296 between hwys 212 and 120)

Garmin Zumo XT2's are on sale - Nov '25

As we suspected, an XT3 was coming and now been announced: New XT3 The lean angle function will be soooo helpful. :)

Has anyone fixed the CarPlay garbled speech?

Glad to be of assistance. If you are on first gen of the built in Sena, then I'm guessing you may also be on the first gen of that particular Shoei helmet (I'm assuming the Neotec line which is what I've got, but I think they also added it to other models - sorry, too lazy to check right now)...

Has anyone fixed the CarPlay garbled speech?

What you are describing is a problem many of us had with the 2024 models during most of that year. An update eventually solved that issue for most, if not all, of us. Other issues, mainly connectivity, continue. You don't say which Sena you have in the Shoei helmet. Make sure it is at least...

Buying our first Spyder in the Spring - what should I be looking for?

While it is possible to be on a Ryker for a two week trip (on which you said your wife would like to join you), I would strongly encourage you to look at a Spyder instead. An F3 Limited or RT Limited will be much better for touring with better comfort and storage. If MSF provides a three-wheel...

    Definition of a Motorcycle...

I wonder if any part of this is to reclassify e-bikes that go more than the normal limit of up to 28 mph?

    Welcome, JohnRtl

Congrats on the new ride. And welcome to the forum. Your previous three wheel experience will help a lot, if nothing else because you are already mentally prepared for it to be different than two wheels.

Looking for a good GPS - Touring, no off road. Considering Garmin Zumo XT - thoughts?

@JohnRtl - thanks for the info! I just joined the UK Zumo Forum. Good to hear positive mentions of MRA since I'm hoping to transition to it as my sole route planning tool rather than using Basecamp for the Garmin and MRA for Apple CarPlay. If you've got one of the 2020 or newer RTLs, the...

    FedEx is the worst!!!

Yeah, I cringe when I see a shipment is coming via FedEx. I'm used to the repeating cycle of out for delivery then delayed going on for a few days. And then what typically happens is it either gets delivered on a day where there was no out for delivery message, or it gets delivered and then I...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Swapped out my old Garmin Zumo 396 mount for the new XT2 mount. The XT2 screen looks so much better, as it should, since it is bigger and much newer. Now comes the learning curve and testing to see how well it plays with plans made in MyRouteApp. I also (finally) checked the air filter after an...
