• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Has anyone else experienced this Transmission Fault? Had shaft recall done, now this - any ideas?

I was hoping for an update to ad to the general knowledge base., but he never came back

Kenda Kanine front tires - Where’s the beef?

There is no "Darkside" or "grayside" on the Spyder. They come from the factory with "car type" tires and rims - J type auto rims for car type auto tire beads. No danger, no darkside, no grayside, just car type J beads. And as has been pointed out many times, if you go to a better brand of tire...

I guess I'm just not a Twisties guy!

I still love twisty roads, I just don't have to play Geoff Duke or Mike Hailwood any more. I can ride at a sane pace, and enjoy the scenery.😊

Anyone seen/heard from Motorcycle Dave lately?

Dave never did post very much, but as far as I know he is still kicking around.

    'The Lamonster Chronicles'

Thank you, Ron for giving those of us who live too far away to interact with Lamont personally an insight into both him and yourself. Although I have had interactions commercially with you both, this is fun getting to know you all on a more personal level. Again, thank you for undertaking this...

Intro and my initial problems with the throttle sensor and DESS on my 2011 RT - fixed now tho!

The reality is that nobody wants an old Spyder, except maybe as a quick joy ride, most of them couldn't start it anyway, and they are not going to waste time trying to bypass the DESS. They will find an easier target. Thieves are by nature lazy, so they will look for the easy theft. Things like...

    2025 Motorcycle of the Year

Rider has always been ready to be contreversial, so this does not surprise me. I do agree with Blacklightning about picking any three wheeler for MOTY. They must feel their readership is getting older which I think they are. The entire motorcycle demographic is ageing. BTW I didn't know they...

2024 F3S - is a grip change possible? Or am I stuck with OEM?

If you have the heated grips and want to keep them (and I did) I went looking for something that would fit over the standard grip. Kuryaken (sp) makes grips for the Honda Goldwing that will fit over our grips and on high, the heat will still come thru. The left grip and the shifter will have to...

Where can I find these grips? Or grips like them?

That looks like a custom setup to me. You may have to find a good fabricator/machineist who can make that. It is a beautiful set up and I can see why you like it. Can you message the owner and ask him how he got those?

I guess I'm just not a Twisties guy!

Racoon, thank you for your insights into what makes a good ride for you. You have already discovered what Lou stated in his comment "ride your own ride". BajaRon also said the same thing in his last post. He is lucky to have found 2 friends with similar interests and riding styles. I was lucky...

Looking for front right fender - what's the fastest way to get it in Europe?

I am surprised there is that much duty on a used part.

Looking for front right fender - what's the fastest way to get it in Europe?

If they are that close in price then go with BRP new in your color. I have found them quite cheaply on Ebay, but then, I am in the US.

What color Touch up paint for 2015 rear sprocket? Any tips?

Since you are going to remove the sprocket anyway, I would take it into a NAPA auto parts store or any auto paint store and see if they can match it.

Thank you for letting us know that you got it running and what the steps were that you took to get it going. Happy riding, don't park it any more
