• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Pleased with my Smooth Spyder Belt Tensioner for my RS

I removed the vibration dampener around 20k miles ago and don't miss it. For me, I don't notice any difference in vibration either, and I don't want to be anywhere, other than in my driveway, with a belt that gets destroyed along with leaving me stranded. Just trying to keep it simple.

Blackstone Results for Amsoil 5W40 Metric Oil in my 2022 RT S2S

About how long did it take Blackstone to get your results back to you? I have used them probably the past 20 years, but the past five or so years it has taken them over two months for me to receive my results so I pretty much stopped using them.

Question for all, and BRP - why is there not a dip stick mark for the correct oil level in a cold Spyder engine?

It took me a long time to get accustomed not to check my oil level first thing before going for a ryde also. It bothered me the most after my first oil change. But after many miles & oil changes and checking my oil level after my rydes, and NEVER losing a drop of oil in five years of ryding, I...

    Pedal box installed

I can't speak for anyone else, but I have had a Pedal Box on my 2023 RT for almost three years without any problems. I have not read of anyone having a problem of a pedal box "fighting' with the canbus system.

Do I just keep pumping with Speed Bleeders until the line fills up?

. Exactly :) This is the only mechanical works she touches. lol. She has helped me do this for the past 36 years. It makes bleeding brakes so much easier. For me I don't need speed bleeders when she is willing to assist with this matter. As mentioned do not get in a hurry and then forget to...

    Random thought for the day

The past several months one of my cats has been leaving a play mouse in her food dish for us. And there is some food still in the dish!:ROFLMAO: I don't know if she is trying to tell us something, but we sure get a laugh out of it.

Any foreseeable problems or concerns with this Trailer Hitch Suspension?

I would be concerned about the bolt strength. Going from old memory grade five bolts are only "case hardened". Machining from 3/4" down to 5/8" took most or all of the good strength away, basically back to a grade 3 bolt. If one started with a grade 8 that is heat treated all the way through...

What do these fault codes mean? V0416; C006C; C003A

It will help everyone out if you share what model and year along with any history of the Spyder.

Newbie to Spyders - I've just bought a 2012 RS Roadster! Have I done the right thing?!

Give yourself time to get used to the Spyder. It took me a while to get used to not feeling for the clutch and NOT counter-steering. So what I suggest is counter pushing with your legs. Let you legs keep you vertical. Left hand turn push (counter!) with the Right leg! After a bit of time, this...

10 year parts law - will parts for the 1330 engine/trans still be available into 2036?

I have heard this same quote all my life. And I used to believe it also. Per Steve Lehto, Consumer Attorney (and on Youtube), specializing in the Lemon Law in Michigan, there is not a law that says this. Can you share where this statute is located? I have owned two Spyders over the past five...
