• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Replaced factory windshield with Show Chrome windshield. Bike not licensed yet, but maybe in the next few weeks. Should be more comfortable, especially for winter rides.

Can Am Spyders Resale value isn't great...

Not sure about dealer sales, but dealer has a 2017 F3-L with about 5000 miles for sale for $19,999 CDN. We are in the rainy season, so not prime riding season.

Can You See Me Now? New lights fitted.

Cagers do sometimes see you but don't care as they are bigger than you.

Buying new 2023 RTL from dealer… any concerns from it sitting that long?

I would get the dealer to flush the brake system as part of any deal. My 2022 had been in a crate not long before I bought it. At first service, another dealer recommended brake flush due to age of vehicle, so I had it done at selling dealers expense.

What could cause this Squeal on starting out in first gear?

My 2019 Spyder F3 had a squeal around 2500 rpm. Dealer adjusted belt to no avail, but then changed the pulley and resolved the issue. My newly acquired 2022 F3 had some squeal about same rpm. Dealer again adjusted belt to no avail. I took a video of the tach, with the squeal audible, and...

    Wrapped my 2021 RT Limited

That’s a good price Peter. I was quoted $650 Cdn/ to wrap clear Xpel on the frunk and saddlebag area, and I doubt that any panels are removed.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Installed chrome ‘boomerang’ and Xpel PPF that I purchased from Pete at wrapmyspyder.com. With my bike being gloss black paint, it was prone to showing scratches. I did the top case, and all areas around the ignition/service panels. Next order will be for frunk and perhaps saddlebags.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Ordered Xpel film from wrapmyspyder.com on Friday, and I should have it by Tuesday. Amazingly quick shipping time across the country from the US to Vancouver Island, BC, Canada.

Can this plastic piece be removed to wrap?

My newly acquired 22 F3L is gloss black. I am likely going to use clear film from Pete at wrapmyspyder.com for many of the horizonal surfaces that are most subject to being scratches, such as the top case, service panels and adjacent areas. I think clear film is easier to apply than sticky...

Making custom Linq gear - any ideas &/or specs, diagrams, etc to help?

I won a Linq backpack, but my 2019 F3 base model was not equipped for Linq. I purchased a rear rack, and bought the Linq rack attachments, and a steel flat bar, where I mounted the Linq attachments, and mounted the bar to my rear rack. I could now carry my backpack or any other Linq accessory...

Ever driven your Spyder onto a ferry?

I live on Vancouver Island, BC Canada. To get to mainland North America, must take a ferry. Never an issue with the ramp. Two wheel bikes are supplied with a wedge to prevent bike from tipping; only need to apply park brake with my Spyder.

What are your Phone Holder Preferences? Brand/style & placement?

I too, use Tackform. Use one also on my bicycle. As Wolfeman stated. ‘ great mount and great customer service’. I agree.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Received my brackets yesterday from CanAm Spyder Accessories to adapt my Ultimate floorboards to my newly acquired F3-L. Easy install, and works better for me than the OEM footboards.
