• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

It pays to buy quality gear

I have a leather jacket that is almost 25 years old. It started out black, but now it is kinda a grayish tan due to rain, sleet, snow, and a lot of sun.

I needed, and found, the correct screws for the Rear ABS ring.

I have always had good luck at Ace Hardware. I have bought fasteners for guns, helmets, cars, lawn equipment, and Spyders there.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

We had our 40' diesel pusher for over 20 years. During that time I would be safe to say we dry camped in the national forests of Arizona 90% of the time. Only had one time we couldn't get out. We left it sit for a week and came back after the mud had dried. LOL

Need a measurement please for handlebars.

the combination of the visor and the short reach bars solved the shoulder issue for me. I am 5'9" and 21" from armpit to palm of my hand

How difficult is it to switch out handlebars?

It took me maybe 30 minutes to switch my standard F3L bars out and install the short reach. Really made a big difference.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

One of my best friends is very active in the BMW K1600 group, so I end up doing many rides where almost everyone else is on a Beemer.

Is anyone out there Ryding with a Pacemaker?

I have a good friend who rides with both a pacemaker and a defibrillator, in a single unit called an Implantable Cardioverter-Defibrillator (ICD)

Using Garmin GPS with XM radio for Nav & headset audio - any reason to pair to the Spyder?

I would pair everything to the Garmin. That seems to work best for me.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Cold spell left us for a few days, so Momma and I left Chino Valley and rode down to Yarnell, AZ to Gilligan's for Lunch. Nice little 60 mile trip each way. Lots of nice sweepers most of the way there through Skull Valley and Kirkland. Pizza was great as usual. On the way back home, we went back...

Tried again to get display v020.80 installed - No joy

had the same issue when they installed it on my 2018 F3L. But it is nice to have DTE on the screen.

Probably a stupid idea - thinking I might go from a 2018 F3 Ltd to an RTL S2S - am I crazy and should just keep what I have?

Top case is the same. But back a few years Spyder Pops had a kit that moved the top case back 3 inches. This gives her enough room to use her phone or iPad to read or whatever. Unfortunately it does fit the RTL or any of the new models with LinQ. And they no longer offer it.
