• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Tried again to get display v020.80 installed - No joy

had the same issue when they installed it on my 2018 F3L. But it is nice to have DTE on the screen.

Probably a stupid idea - thinking I might go from a 2018 F3 Ltd to an RTL S2S - am I crazy and should just keep what I have?

Top case is the same. But back a few years Spyder Pops had a kit that moved the top case back 3 inches. This gives her enough room to use her phone or iPad to read or whatever. Unfortunately it does fit the RTL or any of the new models with LinQ. And they no longer offer it.

Probably a stupid idea - thinking I might go from a 2018 F3 Ltd to an RTL S2S - am I crazy and should just keep what I have?

Well, since we were in Phoenix today, we decided to visit Ridenow and check out an RT S2S. That settled it. We are not getting a new Spyder. Neither the wife nor I like the seating position on it. The wife said it was entirely too cramped on the passenger seat. Our F3 has a lot more room and...

Decided to keep what I got. It's paid for and it does everything I need it to do.

    Would a 2025 F3L SS seat fit a 2018 F3L - any good recommendations for replacement seats?

I am pretty sure it will not fit. A word of warning on the Ultimate seat. It will raise you up about 1.5 inches over the stock seat. Comfort wise, it is a good seat, and my passenger (wife) really likes it.

Looks like I am replacing my left hand multi-function switch.

The need not to de-pin it was on the other end, where the wiring hooks up to the rest of the Spyder. There is a place where the cable goes through the frame and the opening is not large enough for the connector. I'm not sure if this applies to the F3 too, or only to the RTL?

Probably a stupid idea - thinking I might go from a 2018 F3 Ltd to an RTL S2S - am I crazy and should just keep what I have?

Well I asked my local dealer what they would give me for a trade. After I picked myself up off the floor I decided I am keeping what I got. I will not post who the dealer is or what they offered, so please don't ask.

Looks like I am replacing my left hand multi-function switch.

I agree. Each switch should be independent. I had to replace mine just to fix my parking brake.

Probably a stupid idea - thinking I might go from a 2018 F3 Ltd to an RTL S2S - am I crazy and should just keep what I have?

I have a very nice 2018 F3 Limited. The Spyder is in perfect condition and has lots of great upgrades. It only has 19k miles on the odometer. But for whatever reason I have the bug for a new one. I am thinking I might try an RTL S2S, but have not even sat on one, so that may change if I really...

Short but enjoyable ride to Yarnell, AZ for lunch.

Today wife and I took a quick ride over to Yarnell, AZ for lunch. It is just about 60 miles each way. Stopped along the way at Skull Valley (pop. 800) for our morning coffee and to see the largest Fremont Cottonwood tree (46ft. circumference). Then on to Yarnell for Lunch at Gilligan's, a...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Yup. I also disliked that, but Momma likes it so I live with it. It is comfortable though.

Buying a new helmet - who replaces them every 5 years per manufacturers spec??

Most manufacturers specify that you should buy a new helmet after about 5 years even if you have not had an accident or dropped it. How many follow this practice. Mine is now 7 years old and seems in good condition. I have removed all the padding and inspected the foam lining and the styrofoam...
