• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What is the farthest miles you have gone in one day ?

Longest I've ever done on a motorcycle is 740, but that was almost 30 years ago. On our Spyders, my wife and I have done 690–695 mile days on three different occasions, doing the Smackdab Summer Solstice Run. http://smackdab281.org

    Can Am goes electric

I would be all over the CT1 motorcycle if they sell it.

    Can Am goes electric

I doubt an electric Ryker would have a CVT. Electric motors make maximum torque from zero RPM to the engine's limit, so a CVT would be redundant. An electric doesn't need to run in a "sweet spot" the way an IC engine does. There are plenty of direct-drive electrics.

    New Spyder Lineup 2020

From the website, the only remaining manual transmission model is the F3-S. Is this new, or was this the case in 2019?

Missing - Joke Forum, so I'll just start a thread.

I met a man who claimed he'd built a stretch limo out of two Daihatsu hatchbacks. It ended up being one big Charade.

    Ryker Ykester!!!

I can guess at two possible factors: 1) meeting the much more stringent emissions requirements of road-going vehicles, and, 2) Being softer tuned for better reliability, especially with the thermal issues inherent in summer/desert heat, which sleds don't have to endure.

    Ryker Ykester!!!

Properly tuned, a CVT should run at the engine's peak torque RPM, regardless of speed. You should already BE at the engine speed you'd shift down to get to on a manual transmission. That's the beauty of a CVT.

    Ryker Ykester!!!

People routinely foul up that comparison by bench-marking the most expensive motorcycles against fairly ordinary, middle-of-the-range cars. If you want to compare the cost of a Spyder RT Limited to a car, choose a similarly top-of-the-line luxury automobile like a Toyota Avalon Limited, which...

Spyder is REALLY different - tried test ride, barely made it out of the dealer's lot

We all hear this a lot from motorcyclists. Try replying by asking, "So, tell me—how well could you control a two-wheeler after your first ride across a parking lot or one block down the street?" It's curious how often the "two-wheels-good" people malign the Spyder for being "training wheels"...

    So it's called the Ryker!

I thought that was a bunch of typos until I saw the author's name. T-That Ex-xplains it.

    So it's called the Ryker!

That's because you'd be hard pressed to find a vehicle less marketable to "urban stunters" than a nanny-bot governed machine that has no clutch and cannot wheelie.

    So it's called the Ryker!

An area dealer (Pitbull Powersports) uploaded a video from the Ryker intro to their Facebook feed. I grabbed a GIF of the glove box, and the quick-release footpeg adjustment, two interesting features I thought you'd all like to see. Here's a link to the whole video, for those of you on...

    So it's called the Ryker!

The Rally Edition has a slightly higher (1" I think) ride height, different tires, and a re-calibrated nanny mode that won't freak out on soft/loose surfaces.

    So it's called the Ryker!

The more exposure I get to the Ryker, the more I like it. I doubt I'll like it enough to give up the greater power, better ergonomics, manual 6-speed, and cruise control of my '13 RS-S. Or the paid-in-full title I have for it.

    So it's called the Ryker!

I'm also thinking this is lessons learned from the way they market their Sea-Doo Spark. Sell a deliberately de-contented "bait" version at a loss, so you can advertise the MSRP, but offer a much more desirable "real" version just one step up on the food chain.
