• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Has anyone had experience with an Akropovic 3C silencer? Will one fit a 2021 RTL?

Not sure how you feel about removing your primary (cat) muffler, but a cat delete/OEM muffler has a richer tone without being too loud. I've tried two cat delete pipes (Baldwin/RLS), and have found that the RLS gives a great tone. Of course it's the most expensive of the two.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Now that the summer long distance touring season is over, I did some swapping around to put my Spyder into its day riding, sport(ier) mode. 1.) Off with the taller/wider/clear Isotta touring windscreen and on with the dark smoke Gustaffson windscreen. 2.) Off with the Russell Day Long touring...

Kenda tires - I truly don't understand the hateful responses to Kenda tires. I have over 22,000 km on mine and they're only 50% worn.

Quality car tires, such as Vredestein/General/Continental, are just slightly more expensive than OEM kenda/Kanine tires. Generally within $10/tire. Pre Covid, a couple of manufactures (Federal/Achilles) imported 165/55R15 tires, and they were decent for the Spyder. I currently have a set of...

Wish I had not gone with a Vredestien Tire

How can you tell when it is time to replace front shocks?

My take from the OP was that he was wondering when to replace his front stock shocks. I saw no where that he was unhappy with how they worked. If so, replacing two shock bodies for $275 might be all he needs.

I've gone from ATGATT to H (just Helmet).

Like you, @vito1943, I have been riding motorcycles for 56 years. I'm a 80% helmet/jacket/jeans/gloves/boots rider, but I do have that 20% in me. My primary helmet is a open face 3/4, though I do have a flip back modular in inventory. Also, I also have been known to ride in shorts, t-shirt...

How can you tell when it is time to replace front shocks?

    Makes no sense?? Even a 2025 shock body for a 2025 F3L is $138.

What is the recommended Tire pressure for a Canyon?

If you have a OEM Kenda (or Kanine), you put in 28#. Some might run 26# in hopes to shorten center wear. If you have a car tire (Vredestein), I'd think 17-18# would be good.

Contemplating buying a Spyder - any reliability, power, and buyer's remorse issues?

Have to believe that a 8 year old Spyder doesn't have any type of warranty remaining. That said, there are a lot of "garage queens" out there. Many people buy motorcycles/toys and simply don't use them.
