• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Kenda tires - I truly don't understand the hateful responses to Kenda tires. I have over 22,000 km on mine and they're only 50% worn.

Actually, he never even put it on to try! And .. We never heard back from him again! Did he ever decide to put it on? But I guess I should have specified front tires.

I know I'm a broken record, but if you have never driven a Spyder with a car tire up front, you certainly have no idea what you're missing in regards to ride and handling. Many may be certainly happy and satisfied with OEM/Kanines, but car tires are truly a noticeable improvement. I have not...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

We have a solid 3-4 weeks left of riding in WI :)

I'm going a different route on my next set of front tires - trying these IOTA EVT (Standard)'s instead!

The tires came today. I will be getting them mounted/balanced on Monday and scuffing them in next week. They are all season and fresh. Glad to find a car tire in OEM size. - - Hopefully they work as well as my Achilles Economist tires, and a $128 well spent. :)

Here's my new F3 - The Green Hornet!

That really is a nice color :) I could have saved $1000's on accessories if I would have went the F3L route from my F3S versus the RT S2S I went with...

Kenda Kanine front tires - Where’s the beef?

I'd call it the "gray side", since the Spyder Kenda's are already basically a car tire. The attached photo is the real "dark side" :)

Kenda Kanine front tires - Where’s the beef?

Other than being open air, nothing about a Spyder is a bike. OEM Kenda's are weak car tires. This is what the the closest size "motorcycle tire" to a Spyder's 165/55R15 Kenda is - a 160/60R15 Pirelli Diablo.

I found the Vredestein's to be an excellent tire .. on my F3S. Couldn't eliminate the rubbing on my RT S2S front fenders with 5.5" wide PPA wheels.

Anyone know the part number and where I can get a replacement Rear Shock Mount Bolt for a 2010 RT?

That could work, but take your shock spacers with you. Too small, and the bolt will be sloppy. Too big and the bolt won't fit thru your spacers :)

My 2024 S2S Seat has no strut - did BRP discontinue them?

Yup ... I have BOTH the Show Chrome strut and the SE seat lift installed. I installed the SE seat lift after I had a seat redone by RDL. The Show Chrome strut was working too hard (sagging) trying to hold up both the RDL seat and an Alaska Leather sheepskin seat cover. The Show Chrome strut...

My 2024 S2S Seat has no strut - did BRP discontinue them?

You can. Best and easiest solution is to get the SE seat lift. Less than a minute to install. Slingmods has free shipping through today. FYI: https://www.slingmods.com/canam-spyder-rt-flip-up-seat-support-bracket-spyder-extras?vehicle=1

I'm going a different route on my next set of front tires - trying these IOTA EVT (Standard)'s instead!

My question to you would be: Have you ever run a car tire on the front of your Spyder? I'm guessing no? I can say yes, as I have used both a Vredestein 165/60R15 and Achilles 165/55R on my F3S and the Achilles 165/55R15 on my RT S2S. Switching directly back and forth between my OEM...

165/60R15 tires have contact issues. I enjoyed my Vredesteins on my F3S, but I also like my $55 165/55R15 Achilles on my RT S2S. Much better than the Kanines. The Accelera's will be used up front, as they're available in OEM 165/55R15 size.
