• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    I think in that (extremely unlikely) scenario, the Spyder would be pushed off course and possibly disabled. Maybe roll over, who can tell? A 2-wheeler would go down, violently.

    I share your philosophy 100%. What is the point of an incremental margin of safety if it results in a miserable ride experience? The helmet to me is always mandatory but on a Spyder everything else is optional, depending on weather conditions.

    Please explain how a Spyder is just as dangerous as a motorcycle, in your opinion. Otherwise your crash experience on a 2-wheeler has questionable relevance to this topic, it seems to me. Thanks.

    How would armored jacket and pants protect you in a crash? Armored gear is designed for protection falling off or sliding down the road, not severe impact with another large object.

    I would have traded in my RTL for a Nikken, just for the superior dealer and service network, if nothing else. Loved my 2008 Yamaha 1300, but needed the stability of a 3-wheeler, so got the 2014 RTL at a local dealer, which shortly thereafter dropped the Spyder line.
