• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Has any repurposed their RT's tweeter spaces?

I have a '22 RTL and don't use the onboard speakers. Has anyone removed and installed any gauges, ports maybe camera screen? Just wondering since its valuable dash space that I and maybe others aren't using. Looks like a 2" recessed opening and you could use the tweeter faceplate as a template

    My Fog light switch upgrade

I recently purchased Lamonster's IPS fog light kit for my '22 RTL. I wanted to upgrade the switch to an illuminated one which I found on Amazon. It's a nice Carling switch with amber lighting at power-up and amber and green when the lights are turned on...

Has anyone ever opened a Paypal dispute?

This might be the cheapest fix, not negating the fact that the hardware should have come with the windshield. https://www.harborfreight.com/180-piece-harness-grommet-set-67582.html

Probably the best lock washer available - check them out!

I've used these before and just installed them on my battery terminals (6mm). They're called Nordlock washers and are probably the best anti-vibration lock washer you can get. Typically found at specialty hardware stores and online. https://www.nord-lock.com/nord-lock/products/washers/ -

Riding my new to me Spyder from Texas to Maine, seat won't stay up & USB port won't charge - anyone else? Any fixes/ideas/help?

Get one of these (2 pack) 90 degree usb cables. I put my phone in upside down (Pixel 9 pro xl) fits great and charges well. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BM3QS7SM?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_7&th=1

Installed TricLED 9005 bulbs in a pre-2019 RT Ltd (2017 Australian model) - LED lights don't work! Any ideas?

Some Led bulbs are polarity sensitive, if possible try switching it in the other way in the socket.

Here's my Battery cover access upgrade.

Probably donate them to fellow spyder riders at a meet-up, I sure don't have any use for 8 more.

Here's my Battery cover access upgrade.

So instead of having to get out the T30 torx wrench to remove the M6x12mm bolts, I just replaced them with star handled knobs in white from amazon. They are easy to see when you unzip the liner to access that area (black also available). Of course a wing bolt or any other type of finger...

Are you using Tie down straps to secure a Spyder with e-track in an enclosed trailer?

6x10 aluminum open utility trailer with aluminum deck. Looking for aluminum etrack instead of the standard steel track,(rust issue) only reasonable place I found was Mac's. Was going to fasten with stainless bolts, just for the front wheels, ratchet strap thru rear wheel as the diagram above to...

Another rider needed a jump start, which got me thinking... Here's my better way!

It It should work as long as you have a place to mount it with enough clearance to remove the post caps, you have 4ft of cable to work with. You could buy a longer cable set if needed.
