• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Just sold my Harley and have follow up questions - what spec RT; Base, Ltd, Sea to Sky? Used, or new?

I'll add that when I bought my RT new the dealer was selling the bikes as soon as they came in, so they were not open to much negotiation. CanAm was offering a $1,000 off and that was all they were willing to do. But they ended up giving my a very fair trade in value on my Goldwing, actually...

Any Suggestions for new Riding Footwear?

I have a few pair of boots from my two wheel days. On my Spyder, I wear sneakers or regular shoes. The chances of ending up on the pavement are far lower than when on two wheels, so I just take my chances. Five years and about 30,000 miles and so far so good. And most of the time I wear...

Thinking of switching to a Spyder, any others jumped from their Harley's to Spyders? Any advice welcome...

Like some others here I came from a Goldwing, and 40 years on 2 wheels. In the 5 years that I have been riding my Spyder I have not regretted the switch even once. After a year with the Spyder I sold my only other 2 wheeler because it never got ridden; I just preferred riding the Spyder that...

3 wheeler crash on the Dragon - was it a Spyder?

I used to participate in charity rides years ago, but I no longer do so. Typically the group stops were at taverns where most of the riders indulged in their favorite alcoholic beverages (I would stick to Diet Coke or just water) and then the ride would move on to the next planned stop at yet...

Question for all, and BRP - why is there not a dip stick mark for the correct oil level in a cold Spyder engine?

I have to admit that I have become so confident in the Spyder's non-burning of oil, that I almost never check it. Since my last oil change there has not been a drop of oil on the cement where I park my bike in my garage, so I am assuming that the oil is just fine for the next ride. The only...

I need to find an alternative to the dealership for routine maintenance

I bought it at Loves Park Motorsports, just north of Rockford. So far I can't complain about this dealer, other than the cost.

I need to find an alternative to the dealership for routine maintenance

I live in Rockford, IL, which is in the north central part of the state about 15 miles south of WI.

I need to find an alternative to the dealership for routine maintenance

So far I have not located anyone in my area who even claims to be able to work on Spyders. FWIW, the dealer claimed 4.5 hours of labor on this job, not even counting the oil change itself. So for now I will just have to accept using the dealer for any needed work in the future.

Anyone going back and forth from their Spyder to a motorcycle?

I bought a little Royal Enfield Hunter 350 shortly after trading in my Goldwing for an RT, back when I was 78 (five years ago). I thought I needed a two wheeler to enjoy that unique riding experience. But not only did I get frustrated with the limited power of that Royal Enfield (only 20 hp) but...

I need to find an alternative to the dealership for routine maintenance

Is the price I was charged typical for today's dealerships? I have no way of knowing.

I need to find an alternative to the dealership for routine maintenance

In the five years that I have owned my 2021 Spyder RT I have needed virtually no maintenance services. I've had a few oil changes and a rear tire replacement at the dealership where I bought the bike, but nothing outrageous in cost. Yesterday I dropped off the Spyder for an oil change and I...

Where/how do I find the odometer on a 2026 Sea to Sky?

I have a 2021 RT and some of the system settings are annoyingy unintuitive, and I am dissapointed to read here that now, five years later, CanAm has not fixed the problems. At least for now I think I will stick with what I have and not even look at newer models.

Hope I'm not done riding my Spyder for the year?!

I was able to get out for three different rides in March, and now we are back to cold weather. I'm glad that I have year round insurance so that I can take advantage of any surprise warmer days during the winter months.

What changes between a New 2026 RT vs a 2021 RT might make worthwhile considering?

Its nice that CanAm improved the struts, but I don't think that this is enough for me to trade in my '21.

What changes between a New 2026 RT vs a 2021 RT might make worthwhile considering?

I appreciate the comments. I have no real plans on trading in my 2021 but just wondered what I would get if I bought a new one. The new display that shows both the RPM and the mileage since the last fill up is nice, whereas I have to choose which one I want to see on my display. My display has...
