• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

No bright headlights, dims work fine - any ideas?

WHOOPS, MODEL DOESN'T MATCH WHAT I SAID

Is it safe to ride with a suspension fault?

you can, but possible bottom out on bigger bumps. Is the Spyder new? Many dealerships forget to attach the ride suspension arm to swing arm, totally disabling the intended function. Making the air compressor, pump all the time. The arm is under left side saddle bag, if its NOT attached and...

Ryker 900 - sounds like it wants to start but won't turn over! Charged the battery, still nothing. Helllpppp!

Try opening throttle all the way and crank it, this clears out the cylinder without shooting more gas in there. Possibly it's flooded, from too many start attempts?

Is this the VSS not working? Anyone experienced it before? What came of it?

You might have triggered it and not known it. It's a flashing lightning bolt icon on screen. You have to look fast, cause it's on screen, then gone

Any thoughts about running Car Tires On The Rear?

It wasn't from 30 lbs, it's from weak tire manufacturing. You installed a car tire, much better and stronger cords to keep center from ballooning out. 18 - 20 lbs for car tires. Many tire threads on here to learn about best tires and pressures, can keep you reading for hours Edit: since you...

Wish I had not gone with a Vredestien Tire

with a 205 width plenty OK. I have had 2 General Altimax 215 width that first one wore down and I was getting severe hydroplaning. The OEM 225 tire doesn't need to be that wide for traction, 205 is OK. take out the sprocket and take to walmart, discount tire, tire shop, they will mount it...

Time for brakes on my 2014 RT - any tips or recommendations?

if you have a service manual, there would be a service minimum level on rotors. I don't know what it is, but if anybody can look it up, then Chebber could measure them with micrometer or dial calipers away from the edge

87 Octane seems to work just fine

I have run 87 octane gas quite a bit. I found that starting from idle to easy throttle would give me a couple of pings. So I have decided to use 93 high test. I don't want to hurt the engine.

The oil plug - Murphy showed up today.

Well, you answered your own question. Torque values are always DRY!! You'll never get an oil plug to be dry. When applying, any lubricant will always make it tighter, so back off on the value some. In approximately 45 yrs of changing oil in cars/trucks/motorcycles, I just tighten up snug, then...

    Anyone familiar with these codes - U0155 & P074D - Any ideas?

The U codes can be associated with the cheap Chinese battery, keep an eye on it. The YUASA battery is 350 CCA, the Chinese battery is 300 CCA.

The Auto Downshift is irritating for changes to 2nd & 1st - can anything be done to block those down-shifts?

Can't change auto downshifts, maybe only in BUDS. That means your letting bike downshift at the minimum RPM level. Only option is to use paddle shifter to downshift sooner, don't know if that is your intention

What is the unloaded rear axle weight of a 2020 style F3L? for tires...

Don't over think this. As a newer member spend some time searching tire threads. More than enough for a couple hours. Spyder rims are J bead rims, like a car tire. You'll get much better wear with 'real' car tires. Kenda only says "for motorcycle only" on the sidewall because they can't support...

Any low cost/OBDII Diagnostic tools for Spyders?

BRP has propietory software. There is a thread running currently that deals with this. Trying to find adapters that work. Only BUDS interface works. Many of us remember some of the codes by memory. Thread will be in what's new tab a few pages down

    2026 model year reveal 8-17-25 6:45 PM

I agree, they have F3 placards on front and back, but odd ball writing on machine. Appears too that you can see front wheel drive, no rear belt. So probably AI engineered, and its not ginuwine BRP video

    A Friendly Maintenance Reminder

They help with reducing any belt vibration. I don't need one as the vibrations only happen on the interstate once in a while. I can live with that. Usually, a bump triggers it, then another bump stops it. It's still better than running a dampener and having it malfunction, and there goes a $250...
