• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Changed the oil, now stuck in Limp Mode, Code P0524! What's wrong??

What model and year would help. Either twin or triple engine has dry sump. Have you looked in manual as to procedure of how to do it? This is first thing to look at is oil level. Oil level alone will not send a code or limp mode. Anything else touched?

Anybody else rounded off the hex Oil filter cap? Any tips to remove?

36 mm if you want a hex socket, not the 12 point

    Kickstand Bolt fell out!!!

Bring this back for the newbies!!! Watch out for that kickstand bolt might fall out and your Spyder fall over. On another important note, today is my final day at work, I'm retiring! Or maybe its an April fool's joke??? Nope, I'm really retiring!!

Planning on riding Southern NJ to Raleigh NC (June '26) - Any Recommendations/Suggestions Please?

From Front Royal, VA, you can do Skyline Drive, 35 mph, that goes into Blue Ridge Parkway, 45 mph, maybe down to Roanoke, VA. Then angle over to Raleigh.

2014 RT with intermittent buzzing noise - any ideas on what it might be?

Hey Flying V, how far are you from Greenville, TN? Ride over to BajaRon service place, he is better than dealership. Peter A is a moderator and lives down yonder in Australia

Spyder RT with a Goldwing Engine (Not AI)

Some good reading, and the owner/fabricator has posted in this thread too!

My Spyder is on the way!

Hope you're there at unload? Some of those haulers don't understand what to look for in a Spyder when unloading. Watch the angle of the ramp. When backing up a Spyder, watch the angle of the bed to the ramps, there is a reverse actuator underneath on the left side that hangs down enough to catch...

2025 Spyder Sea 2 Sky - Where is the Dedicated GPS Power Plug-in?

I just bought an XT3, you use Tracker app now for that. Don't know if Basecamp would work on that, or probably much better functionality by using the newer Tracker app

Anybody see a measurable change in fuel mileage with larger diameter rear tire?

3-5% fewer revolutions per mile translates to a BIGGER diameter tire, so will give you better MPG, but probably not noticable

Does a 2025 Sea to Sky have jam nuts on the inner tie-rod ends? Can someone look for me to confirm/deny?

Might need a laser alignment. You would think they come aligned properly, but some don't, the best is ROLO laser alignment system. Next is out of balance Kenda OEM tires, can lead to what seems like pulling. Next is bad grip from the Kenda tires. Car tires are better built, with better grip...

What are the required dimensions for a Spyder rear brake piston adjusting tool?

Got it back in. I now have a blister on my hand from pushing the needle nose pliers real hard. Never had it stop going clockwise, but had enough space to put back together. Does the thread travel ever stop clockwise?

What are the required dimensions for a Spyder rear brake piston adjusting tool?

been turning and turning clockwise to push piston back in. Pad near piston was at 1mm or just under. Never rotated piston counterclockwise, but its not going back. So just push hard into it while turning clockwise? They should have made just a little bit more travel on that

    Welcome, RedSpyder22

FOUND THIS WHILE SEARCHING... it did happen last September/October, 2025 - I didn't attend, but have been to 3 of them over the years. I also want to note the Oct 2026 Spyder Adventures Rally Maggie Valley, NC- is Canceled per Rick Wiles, the owner of Value Accessories and the event organizer.

Found a really good deal on the new Garmin XT3. 10% off from Sierra Motorcycle Supply, with just $1.99 shipping, with no state tax for NC. Gobbled that deal up. With the 6" model it has an external speaker, plus I will just bluetooth speaker to my helmet com instead of getting that cable for...

    New Owner of SpyderLovers.com 02-19-2026

I always like to hear the background, life's adventures, how or what they did in life to attain who they are today. I will be reading all the "tales", and have also read BajaRon's "chronicles". Already learned something, that LaMonster was with BRP right at 2008 time of introduction of RT (or...
