• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Kenda tires - I truly don't understand the hateful responses to Kenda tires. I have over 22,000 km on mine and they're only 50% worn.

My Kenda’s must be defective. Both of my Spyders have OEM Kenda tires and they both ride smoothly, have good traction, and are problem free. 🤣

What did you do to your Spyder today?

I drove my Spyder to Menards to pick up a couple more gallons of paint for my garage drywall refinishing project. Stopped for a Chicago dog for lunch and now I’m headed back home to get painting.

I'm going a different route on my next set of front tires - trying these IOTA EVT (Standard)'s instead!

Where do you buy this brand? What is their country of origin?

Wish I had not gone with a Vredestien Tire

I’ve been reading this thread and others like it and have been left wondering about hydroplaning in severe downpours on the Spyder. I got caught in the rain twice, once very heavy rain and the other normal rainfall. Both times hydroplaning with the Kenda tires was not the issue, it was my...

I HATE Vapor recovery (ECO) gasoline pump nozzles! Is this just "my issue" only? Anyone else? What do you do to avoid this?

Filling up the Spyder with gas is like trying to get a baby to drink from a glass. I don’t know what the engineer was thinking about when they designed this gas tank but it sure is frustrating no matter what gas station pump I have tried. For regular fill ups I drive my car to the gas station...

How do I get the key mechanism out of the side bag latch?

Usually you have to stick a key into the lock, turn it and depression a release on the housing to extract the lock. If the key is broken off inside the lock making this impossible then you might have to take another approach. If you have the head of the key left you might be able to place one...

Any feedback or Comments on the complexity of the RTL?

If you have some mechanical ability, and would like to learn more about maintenance, there are many posts here and on YouTube showing you how to do oil changes. There are also folks telling you how to install “Speedbleeders” on your brake calipers, which can make that a simple one man job...

Anyone tried Washing/Cleaning the Pads from inside a helmet?

You might want to lightly mist some Folex fabric stain remover onto a clean rag and just gently wipe the pads. Folex can be purchased very reasonably at Home Depot and it works fantastic, cleaning every fabric I have ever tried it on. Using any more liquid on the pads than is absolutely...

Is there a 'Full Tank' Triangle? If so, where? '22 RT

I don’t know anything about some triangle light illuminating but I know one thing about filling the fuel tank on my RTL completely and that it is impossible to be done at the filling station. When I want my tank completely full the only way I have found is to fill it up slowly with a fuel can at...

Losing a bit of faith in Can Am - enjoy the riding, but not the endless waiting while they find parts and fix all the niggling issues!

Becoming a motorcycle mechanic has never been a good career choice. You want to own one you better have some mechanical ability.

Will changing out the front shocks help prevent lifting one front wheel in tight corners?

I find the ability to lift a front tire off the ground on a tight turn on a roadway fairly impossible on a Spyder. Post pics or it didn’t happen.

New audio systems available for 2020+ RT/RTL's

I think most people would be much happier with a Cardo or something similar in helmet sound system than investing in an expensive sound system which will create a whole new problem in attempt to solve something minor.

Buying a 2025 RT Limited - is the VIP Loyalty Program worth it? Is the Extended Warranty worth it?

Some people don’t have the ability or the desire to do their own maintenance. I don’t know what this plan entails or the financial situation of the dealership to fulfill it in case of a major economic downturn. Same with the extended service contract. You can purchase the BRP BEST plan for a...

Is this a Major Electrical Short??? Any suggestions?

There is good news and bad news. First the good news, you don’t have a short circuit. Now the bad news, you have an open circuit. Looking at the fuses won’t tell you much if the fuse looks good you still don’t know if it has power to it so you will need a voltmeter for best information. I don’t...

    Trip, Maine to Yellowstone

Yellowstone National Park is absolutely huge, but unfortunately there are very limited camping sites and you will need reservations. It’s not a place to go and think you can pitch a tent anyplace. Be prepared and ready for drastic temperature changes. It can be 90 degrees during the day and 25...
